Set in a beautiful listed building, the 4-star Woolpack Inn has a creative restaurant and leafy beer garden. It sits in scenic Hampshire countryside, between Winchester and Basingstoke.

Warm welcome. Free parking. Pub within walking distance. Kebab van across street which did a great healthy shish wrap with salad. Microwave and mini fridge in room...with fresh milk.

Great Location - good on site parking. service at breakfast was poor as was customer service. Hotel reception areas were being painted and areas were closed - customer lounge area was gloomy and unwelcoming - but smell of paint affected my asthma.
Wonderful for walks and pubs with good food. Although out in the sticks all the towns are just a stones throw away. The rolling hills of Hampshire are a joy to behold. It feels like you have stepped back in time to an era where cars and planes are still to be invented. The steam trains at Alresford are great too and the staff were more than helpful and willing to impart their knowledge. Even allowed me a sneaky peak at the signal box! With Winchester just 30 minutes away and Portsmouth an hour away there is always plenty to do and see.
