Fantastic fish and chip shop across the street, the triple room had a great set up that had a seperate room for the single bed, the music in the restaurant / lobby area was great. Amazing amenities in the room, including very nice soaps and coffees.

We recently stayed at a two bed caravan for one night, and it was our first experience – we couldn't have been happier! The caravan was super clean and comfortable, and the park is huge and nearby walks were perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings. The location is ideal. Whether you're looking for a family holiday or a short getaway, this is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature. Highly recommended!

Honesty place, very straight forward, you get what you pay for and the owners really try to make sure you know it’s just a room. Clean, great location.

A fabulous two night stay at Portmerion, was amazing and superb in every way, and the hotel dining experience was the best I have ever had, every dish absolutely delicious.
We visited Porthmadog by Ffestiniog railway, taking advantage of the 1st Class carriage. Worth every penny.

A small town, not many shops but plenty of choice of supermarkets.
Few sit down restaurants, the Sportsman bar and restaurant is recommended with a good choice on the menu.
Very close to Portmeirion which is well worth a visit.

Porthmadog itself is a perfectly nice but entirely unremarkable Welsh town, We ended up in Borth y Gest because we couldn't find anything in Port, and I am so glad we did - Borth is a really magical village set around a bay and could not be more beautiful. 20min easy walk into Port if you fancy pubs, 10min the other way to fab sandy beaches. Easy access to all sorts of things like castles and adventure sports (zip lining, Bounce Below, speedboat rides at Menai Bridge) if the weather isn't all that. a great place to spend a week or two with kids.

Spent the weekend in the village of Portmeirion and did not visit Porthmadog itself. It was nice to spend time in the village when all the day trippers had left and sample both evening meal menus at the Hotel Portmeirion and Castell Duedraeth,

you must ride the Ffestiniog railway, visit Portmerrion, walk the miles of footpaths in the area and just explore. Beautiful countryside and beaches.
Small town with loads of independent shops.
If you've got kids, take them crabbing. They will be in the harbour till the sun goes down.
The mountains are a breath taking backdrop to a lovely town.

Very quiet for a seaside / harbour town very few places to eat there is a really good chip shop and there is a spar . I was in the area working so only got to my hotel at 5pm everything in the town was shut apart from the above . Looks like the town is struggling a bit . The pub next to the hotel was shut ( Mondays ) no where else to eat . Town very clean maybe I just was there at the wrong time of day . Very friendly people would visit again but not on a Monday and would book a restaurant before I travelled
I love the mix of old and new. The accommodation was like an older private hotel, maintained by themselves with wonky floors and old fire doors. Mixed with modern statements in decor.
A very modern brasserie restaurant and bar area, well decorated and food was top class in choice, presentation and quality.
We stayed her for a night while traveling through North Wales. The location is beautiful, hotel is surrounded by woods, very peaceful. Staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Room was modern, clean and cozy, bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back when in area.
Gorgeous holiday flat with plenty of room. Bright and airy. Super comfortable and in a great location for exploring Porthmadog and the surrounding area. It was perfect for our family of adults. The parking space was very useful. Communication with our host was prompt and helpful.
Excellent rates for the Porthmadog area, probably as it is down the road in Tremadog, but a very pleasant walk for anyone reasonably fit.
Interesting old building, with a nice mix of old and new in the decoration.
Easy to park for free in the street outside, or the market square.
Excellent location, close to the coastal path. Short walk to the small harbour. 10 mins walk into Porthmadog. Well equipped kitchen. Spacious lounge and separate dining room. Comfortable outdoor seating area.
