I really enjoyed experiencing the hot tub, the owner had turned the temp up because it was very windy and cold outside, the hot tub was at the perfect temperature to enjoy. The hosts provided milk and a cake for us upon arrival which was well received, thankyou!

Absolutely loved our weekend away this place is truly a hidden gem! A tranquil woodland with 2 lakes to explore and so many hidden statues to spot on your way around, and loads of places to stop and sit, the yurt was cozy and had plenty of blankets and pillows! It was a rainy weekend so didn't make the most of the outside space but listening to the rain inside the yurt with the wood burner on was beautiful!
Perfect spot for stargazing ✨️
Fran was welcoming and willing to help us get some kindling and anything else we needed, We also met Diego the free roaming dog and one of the cats and had loads of cuddles!
Thank you for sharing your home with us

Small village nestled in a valley. Bus stop on main road. Cambrian Way passes through village with access to the beautiful Pumlumon Fach and Fawr with some great views towards Nant y Moch reservoir and beyond in a clear day.
A 5km walk away via Banc Creignant Mawr woods is the Nant y Arian visitor centre and feeding site for Red Kites well worth a visit (2pm winter, 3pm summer feeding times). Local pub The George Barrow does very good meals and is run by lovely and friendly people.
The Devil's Bridge is approximately 10km hike over Cambrian Way or a short drive away.

11 miles from Aberystwyth which is pretty well a straight run so staying here was an excellent base. we priced up hotels in Aberystwyth and not only were they more expensive but the reviews were quite poor. very happy that we stayed in Ponterwyd.
The hotel is located in a great place and near to a wonderful waterfall. It was a pure pleasure to have a nice view and hear the birds singing and water rushing every morning. The room was spacious enough for a couple, clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. The staff at the hotel are incredibly welcoming and go out of their way to make sure guests have everything they need. Dining at the hotel is an experience in itself, with a variety of delicious, well-prepared dishes.
We had a great two night stay here, when touring on our motorbikes. The Hotel owners were very friendly and allowed us to park our bikes overnight in a securely locked outbuilding. They also allowed us to watch the TT Races and World Rally Championship on the TV in the Bar both evenings. The food was great and our room was very comfortable and spacious.
The location of this hotel is perfect. The garden is lovely with a waterfall behind a wall. I can't fault this hotel in any way. The rooms are fab, dining room lovely & love to sit in the pub by the lit fire.
Breakfast was 10 out of 10, we also had an evening meal, which again was 10 out of 10.
Nice clean hotel on a convenient location on A44. Perfect for going to Nant-y-Moch or Devil's Bridge. Very welcoming hosts, good dinner and breakfast. I noticed a nice outdoor space for sunnier days and a comfy lounge for during the day.
The location and the owners make this hotel a lovely place to stop for the night. The view from the garden is stunning, with green hills and a waterfall into the river. The food and service was great. We were made to feel very welcome.
The location, near to Bwlch Nant y Arian was reason I chose hotel. Being able to get a light and tasty meal in the bar was very handy and my partner enjoyed a couple of pints with his meal. All the staff were very friendly and helpful
Hotel was really nice, the family who own it are lovely people who were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. The food here is exceptional, great portion sizes and oh so tasty! Would highly recommend, we will be back.
Pleasant 2* hotel with friendly owners/staff offering a no-frills value for money product. We particularly enjoyed the fact that it was an 'old fashioned' approach with no electronic gizmos! Would happily stay here again.
The room was clean, good views, staff were friendly and polite. We ate at the hotel in the evening, the food was lovely and well priced. We were also able to store our motorbikes in the garage next to the hotel.
