I was a late arrival at 23.00 (by arrangement). The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was large in comparison to some I’ve stayed in, facilities were good. Great sized bath towels too. Breakfast had a good choice, I decided to have a full English, it was okay, the bacon had obviously been cooked for some time as it was hard and inedible. The rest of it was fine.

Great lady on front desk, cannot recall her name but she was tall and from Germany. She couldn’t have been more helpful. Thank you for making the stay special.

Great location with a good selection of National Trust properties nearby. The views from the cottage were lovely and the hosts were the best we have ever had. They made us so welcome from the moment we arrived and made the stay a 5* experience.
