Staff were really friendly and always happy to help which was great, even with a difficult late check in with the parking situation, so thanks very much for that. Really beautiful old hotel in a great location.

Crossways, hotel in Pilton

Crossways is nestled in the heart of Somerset, at the foot of the Mendip Hills, 4 miles from the city of Wells.

Breakfast was good. Dinner was mediocre. We thought from the advertisements on booking.com that we would be in Wells but we were a distance out in the country.

This is a small, sleepy, rural village.

This is a small, sleepy, rural village. I have friends here - the reason for visiting. It's very quiet, characterful and has that slight Glastonbury quirkiness to it. Beautiful old cottages and house roll down and up the hillsides with a river/stream at the bottom. Very quiet. You can destress here.
