The Gallivant, hotel in Pett

The sand between your toes. Sky and beach as far as your eyes can see. Wonderful food made with love. Deeply comfortable beds in beautifully thought out bedrooms. Daily yoga and wellness classes.

Interesting dinner menu and wine list; well executed cooking . Not exceptional but good, nice cocktails in a pleasant bar. General ambience is relaxed and low key with attentive and friendly staff. Breakfast maintains the “health vibe” and is nicely presented . Book a room to the back of house if possible, these have a small terrace in a pretty, serene garden .

    Location was excellent.

Location was excellent. Property was beautifully decorated and furnished. It was warm and cosy. Very comfortable and quiet. Highly recommend. Loved Pett Level and Camber Beaches for walking. Also countryside walking. Loved a stroll through Rye town and Rye Harbour. Good hot chocolate, coffee, sausage rolls and cakes at c-side cabin on Pett Level Beach. Two Sawyers Pub is good for food and is a short walk from the cottage. Take a torch!

A lovely village to stay in.

A lovely village to stay in. Near to the country parks where the walking & views over the coast were beautiful. A short drive into Hastings (loved the crazy golf) & not to long a drive to Eastbourne & Beachy Head for even more amazing walks & scenery. Our stay at the Two Sawyers pub (in Pett), where we had excellent breakfast & evening meals, was lovely & comfortable with a warm welcome.
