The flat was really clean and well taken care of, which was really good. I liked that the host was flexible about when I could check in, it made things easy. The place was quiet and peaceful. The best part of the flat was the new bathroom – it was nice and modern, making it comfortable.

Bournemouth Carlton Hotel, BW Signature Collection, hotel in Parkstone

This 3-star Victorian hotel is set high on Bournemouth's East Cliff offers beautiful sea views, gardens and a leisure club. Frederick's Restaurant is set against the striking backdrop of the sea.

The hotel is in serious need of updating. Rooms are so tired and curtains smelled very old and dirty. Spiders all over outside of window. Depressing looking balcony, although view of sea was stunning. Hotel could be gorgeous if updated. Outdoor poor looked filthy and wouldn’t dare entering it. A couple were being very sexual by the poor, really off putting and later they sat on front step, drunk as skunks. Domestic fighting in room above ruined our sleep. Fridge in room froze our drinks that we bought with us. Room did not have drinking water and reception said we would be charged £2.50 per bottles with a £5 room service fee. The local area and beach were not pleasant either! Such a shame that a beautiful beach is destroyed by the calibre of visitors. Would NEVER go back! !!

Accessible flat area. Good for cyclists and bathers. Lovely cafe next to ferry catering for take away and eat in . Breakfasts were excellent. Location good as buses run to Bournemouth, Poole and Swanage. No queue for the ferry during the week at this time of year, but expect to wait at weekends if weather is good .

We had a relaxing one-hour cruise in Poole Harbour with an interesting commentary. We ate on Poole Quay in "Rockfish" and found the meal delicious with very fresh fish indeed, and most attentive and friendly staff. We went to the nearby large Poole park and enjoyed lunch in its bright and restaurant overlooking the lake with its many feathered residents! We visited beautiful Compton Gardens, had breakfast in two local cafes and were able to sit outside in the fresh air to enjoy our food and the area. We visited the beach and found many local and quirky shops to explore too. Parkstone is a vibrant location with many nearby and interesting attractions

Nothing he was not hospitable at all. He was mean. He refused to give me a refund for the stay when the heating didn't work! He refused to give me an extra blanket or heater when the heating didn't work. STAY FAR AWAY.
