Great location in idyllic, tranquil and picturesque location. Attended a wedding at Blake Hall which was only a short 10 minute drive away. Received a lovely warm welcome from Lesley who was the perfect host. The accommodation was lovely and clean, bed was extremely comfortable and it had great facilities. Added bonus of having Lesley’s three beautiful shetland ponies as our neighbours. Just wished we could have stayed longer

For walkers, the public footpaths are among the best signed and maintained that we have ever experienced in UK. Chipping Ongar itself is an attractive small town with an accessible Sainsburys and plenty of pubs and eateries. We had a delicious, good value lunch at the White Hart pub in nearby Moreton.

We were on our way elsewhere so just stopped for the night, but the green and quiet countryside was lovely and inviting. We loved staying at Mulberry house. We ate dinner and breakfast there,they were excellent. Couldn’t find nicer staff!

Lovely place to stay top mark's from me and this is in no way me putting the hotel down but we stayed in one of the court side rooms so had a separate bedroom which had no TV in just in the sitting room but sometimes it's nice to watch TV in bed or listen to the radio on the Freeview
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Our room was clean and comfortable.
The hotel is set in lovely grounds.
Easy to find along the A414 and the driveway has good lighting.
2 restaurants and a pub a short walk away.
The Cucina Italiana is a little gem - very good.
Set in a beautiful part of Essex with lots of trees around, very peaceful. There are black swans, alpacas and lots of wildlife in the back field. Hotel rooms are beautiful and all individually dressed. Feels like a retreat. Best find ever.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast, This hotel is clearly well geared up for functions. The grounds are beautiful and we could imagine ideal for lovely wedding photos.
