I found this to be a good base for a walking the Northumberland Coast Path, with bus stops within a few minutes’ walk and just 15 minutes’ walk to the centre of Alnwick with its bus station. My hotel room was clean and very comfortable, with an ample supply of toiletries. The food in the restaurant was very good. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

The B&B is a part of what used to be a farm and is a well built stone building with large and well equipped rooms. There is also a sitting room which is very comfortable if you want to spend time there reading or relaxing. There is a separate room for breakfast and it is about a mile away from the A1 so is easy to access and travel to the coast from .There are several pretty coastal towns nearby though a Satnav is handy to find them!!

We liked the circular walks from Craster, the Anick gardens and the Howick hall gardens too. The trip to the Annick castle was the hi light for both of us. I cannot say what activities were like for the young couples we are in our eighties and we enjoyed the circular walks we did meet several youg couples also enjoying the walks.

A great base for exploring the surrounding countryside and coast. 10 minutes from Alnwick which is a pretty town with the castle which is a must to see. We ate at Thai Vibe in Alnwick which was superb but you need to book a table as it is small and soon fills up.
