If interested in race horses this is the place to go.
If interested in race horses this is the place to go. You could spend days visiting the numerous stables scattered around the area. There are several museums and studs and a visit to the gallops is well worth the effort. Plenty of restaurants and bars on the High Street and Newmarket has good access to the nearby A14.

If visiting a local race yard obviously Newmarket is a base.
If visiting a local race yard obviously Newmarket is a base. The race horse museum is very good - allow 4hrs to do thoroughly.
Get up early and watch racehorses on the gallops.
Otherwise Newmarket is very run down these days. High street has many boarded up premesis and low grade eateries.
Nice curry house and Italian.
If we came again we’d stay in Cambridge and get a 20 min train.

Overnight stay without breakfast. Well appointed with generous treats and snacks provided in the communal kitchen/dining area. Friendly and helpful hosts. Great option for staying in Newmarket. The rooms are part of a converted chapel and carefully designed to meet all normal needs.
Lovely well equipped and spacious room
Great health club and pool
Fantastic food and friendly staff
Location is lovely in heart of Newmarket with great parking and access
Hotel was clean and facilities were good. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. Our puppy didn’t want to come home because he was spoiled so much by the staff 😂
The location is right in the middle of Newmarket high street, so shops, bars restaurants on the doorstep. Free parking for guests and the breakfast sublime!
