Friendly staff , reasonable size room. A dog bed was supplied ,which a first......meant we had less to take in with us,also easy to walk straight from the door early mornings.

The restuarant accomodated even though we hadn't booked and it was well worth eating there. Good freshly cooked local foods.

The rooms are warm and comfortable, nicely presented and clean.
Located in Barnard Castle and with Bowes Museum reachable within less than 1 km, Coach and Horses provides a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar.

Beautifull place for walks.the river and waterfall is defenatly something to see. if you like a walk dont pay to see the waterfall walk along the river over the bridge and see it from an elivated position for free much better view in my opinion too.
