Beechwood House, hotel in New Quay

In the village of Llanarth, between Aberaeron and New Quay, Beechwood House offers stylish en suite accommodation in West Wales.

It is a nice, almost historical place, cosy and authentic. Run by a dedicated couple, both very service minded. They explained about the history of the houses and their owners.

Parc Maerdy Glamping Holidays, hotel in New Quay

Located in Llangranog, 18 km from Aberaeron, Parc Maerdy glamping holidays provides a garden. A balcony with lake views is offered in every unit. A barbecue and a terrace are featured at the camping.

I like this glamping and have stayed there several times already. Really nice place. It was always 10 out of 10 last times, but this time it was disappointing as there was only very hot water in the shower and it was basically unusable (2 nights without shower) and there was a very strong unpleasant smell in the room. Maybe, very unlucky with the pod.

We visited in the winter but still found enough cafes open to be able to get coffees in the day, and an evening meal. Loved the feel of the place. Unfortunately I can’t say how it would be in the summer.

We went out of season for this trip as it was for business rather than pleasure. However, having visited New Quay on many occasions over the last 10 to 15 years, we would definitely recommend the Blue Bell Deli and Restaurant, The Penwig, and Crème Pen Cei (the best ice cream on the planet!!!). The main beach is lovely and safe in the summer, with plenty of options for dolphin watching, watersports, crabbing etc. The lifeboat station is worth a visit and the new RNLI shop too. There are a number of small shops selling some good quality products, as well as the usual cheaper seaside fare etc. When the weather is good it is a really lovely place to stay.

The beaches are amazing and the dolphin trips are definitely worth a shot. There are some lovely shops and ice cream! The parking isn’t great unless you get there very early in the morning (not ideal when you’ve been travelling for a few hours). There isn’t a massive amount to do for children, however there are a few activities outside of newquay you can drive through. Our family have been going there for years, it’s a lovely place.

Loved the location nice and quite we had the tents and found them great for 1 night the owners left us mobile number if there was anything we needed could of done with chairs to sit on outside and hang wet towels on the tents there was picnic tables outside to of the 4 tents but didn't fancy sharing them kitchen was spotless as were toilets but I'm sure that was up to management looking after them think they need chairs round the hot tubs for you to put your towels on and better lighting on paths on way to toilets apart from that the place was lovely the management brilliant no locks on tents and only kitchen to charge your phones air bed's a little low for me at 62 but for 1 night I coped next time kid's can have the floor top tip take blanket if it gets cold again brilliant hosts xx boat trips expensive and new Quay very hillie not a lot for kid's no amusements had to keep the little angles with us lol

New Quay is a lovely place to visit.

New Quay is a lovely place to visit. There are a number of beautiful beaches and plenty of activities. I highly recommend visiting The Pepper Pot restaurant, great food, great service and a beautiful view when eating outside. There are a lot of hills so getting around could be tricky for some but I found the more i walked the more beautiful the view.

It was lovely coastal town ,plenty of places to sit and watch things going on in and around the harbour. We had a meal at The Penrhiwllan Inn ,food and staff were great and we got in for Sunday dinner too would recommend this is on the road into Newquay .My only disappointment at Newquay were the parking bays but although they were free on the front it was only 3o mins not a lot of time really the main car parks were a bit out of town ,granted only £3 all day ,but i found it very steep in places to walk back up .

The location was good and within walking distance of New Quay and the our room had a great view of the sea and the harbour, it was light and airy and spotlessly clean. Towels - brilliant ! Breakfast was tasty and Christine was welcoming and very accommodating when we needed to change our breakfast time, we felt very comfortable and relaxed and Christine offered the conservatory for us to use if we wanted to. Was a wonderful stay at The Sup Shack. Location, well you can't go wrong with New Quay, The Sup Shack is located right above the beach and has a perfect vantage point from the balcony. Accommodation lovely, cosy and immaculate. Now the breakfast, a choice of cerial, toast & jams, yoghurt, a french press of coffee, pot of tea, fresh orange followed by a full cooked breakfast wow, I was full all day!

The lodge is fantastic! The hot tub is amazing!! And the private outside space is great. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook for yourself if you wish. All the little bits eg robes, slippers and welcome gifts were a great addition to this already really good value stay. It’s only a short drive from new quay beach to which was great

We stayed here for 4 nights. Hilary and John couldn’t be more welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was really good and plentiful. Lovely accommodation. spotlessly clean. It is in easy reach of New Quay - would be possible to walk into the harbour. We would definitely stay there again.

Convenient for a 1 night stay and fairly close to New Quay. The huts around the pond looked good and wished I’d booked one. However the first impression of the scrapyard would have tinged the experience. Mike was cheerful.
