The Fleur De Lis, hotel in Minster

The Fleur De Lis is located in the heart of the beautiful medieval town of Sandwich. The property features 11 en-suite rooms, a full bar and restaurant service.

"Stumbling upon this gem of a pub accommodation was a stroke of luck for us! We needed a spot to rest our heads before an early morning Channel Tunnel journey, and this place exceeded our expectations in every way. The rooms, situated above the pub, were not only conveniently located but also boasted a handy side door and fire escape, ensuring a seamless early morning departure. Upon arrival, despite our late check-in, the staff welcomed us with open arms. Their warmth and friendliness instantly made us feel at home, and they even took the time to offer recommendations for nearby dining options when we missed the kitchen hours. While the rooms may have had a slightly dated charm, they were clean and offered excellent value for money. This establishment truly understands the importance of a comfortable stay without breaking the bank. Should our travels ever lead us back to the area, there's no doubt we'll be returning to this wonderful spot. Thank you for a memorable stay—we couldn't have asked for a better experience!"

Royal Temple Yacht Club, hotel in Minster

Boasting an enviable location by the Yacht Marina in Ramsgate, Royal Temple Yacht Club offers yacht racing and cruising, a bar, and a terrace with outdoor seating area.

Clean. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. My room did not have a view, but if you did get one it would be fabulous as the club is situated right opposite the marina. No breakfast or kitchen facilities, but they have everything you need (including a fridge) if you want to bring food in. I had the small twin, en suite and it was perfect for one person with enough room. Coffee, tea and a biscuit, plus water.

The Royal Harbour Hotel, hotel in Minster

Comprised of three Georgian town houses dating back to 1799, this charming, individual hotel in Ramsgate's historic garden crescent has amazing harbour and sea views. Two of the houses are adjoining.

I arrived later than I said , and the gentleman on reception was OK with it and showed me to my room. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable with tea and coffee in the room with tv and a shower .

We had a great break at Poppy Lodge.

We had a great break at Poppy Lodge. Everything was provided by our hosts, Gary and Steph. The lodge was great and heated throughout which was helpful as the weather was a bit mixed. The hot tub was excellent that made a great addition to our holiday. Also, the lodge provided a great place for our small dog, Ted, as it was safe and secure allowing him to explore things around the lodge. Would thoroughly recommend to others.

I didn’t like any of it The first room I was given was in the basement with a view of a wall no settee bed and no soap in the toilet to wash my hands After complaining was moved to another room that was ok How ever there was no chef on site so had to go to premier inn for dinner The staff were very helpful and friendly but were limited to what they could do I normally stay at premier inn when I go away but heard such good things about holiday inn I thought I’d give it ago Was very disappointed and after talking to other people staying there they said the same

Pleasant enough, clean & tidy..... although I had booked a standard room... I assumed it would be a double bed but on arrival I ended up with a room with 2 single beds...., apparently you have to specify but I didn’t see that, so be careful!!!! I have to say the bed & bedding were really nice... super comfy bed. Nice staff. Really nice breakfast but NO fried eggs just scrambled (not bad) I would recommend for a pass through or business but not for a romantic visit.

This was a last minute booking so had to to take what was on offer. I didn't know Minster but found it to be in a great position for visiting this part of the Kent Coast and surrounding Cities, Canterbury Cathedral, Dover Castle, and the rest of the Cinque Ports. Some of the beaches in this area are fabulous. Can't say much more apart from we all enjoyed our stay and will probably return sometime in the future.

I thought it worth mentioning that some visitors to the hotel state that the outside looks dated. Years ago, it was an Art Deco pub and I believe that the local council had an order placed on the building- that it should be preserved as much as possible to it’s original status- which the hotel has implemented very well to the original building. The Manston airport, directly opposite , has a wonderful little museum with an original Spitfire inside it. This actual aircraft was positioned in the open for many years after World War Two, on the actual spot of the museum. During The Battle Of Britain, many brave pilots took off from this runway… A must to visit!

Lovely cosy apartment in a historic house with beautiful gardens and friendly cats. Our hosts were so welcoming and thoughtfully provided drinks, snacks and milk. Off street parking. WiFi was excellent and the facilities like new. Minster village has a fantastic old church and abbey.
