Excellent breakfast and good evening meal although a bit pricey. Staff were very attentive and efficient. Great old worldly atmosphere, however it would have completed the picture if the log fire was burning! Our room was spacious and comfortable.

The Wychwood in is well located on the main road so it is easy to access. The staff are pleasant, the food is very good and the establishment is very clean. There is a garden at the back of the property and there is car parking.

My partner and myself loved everything about it. Sean and Gemma were wonderful so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. They are a credit to the hotel.
The evening meal was superb and the breakfast was just as nice with plenty of choice.
Our room was luxurious, comfortable and clean. We honestly couldn't fault anything about our stay, we found a little gem and would definitely return, also recommend to anyone who is planning on visiting the Cotswolds to stay here. Bampton is a pretty place and an ideal touring base.
Thank you to the Fleur de lys and especially to Sean and Gemma for making our stay a special one.

Great location with easy access off A40 to and from Oxford and Bourton. The circular walk finishing up in the ruins of Lovell castle with it’s history shown on the site put it all in perspective. This part of the Cotswolds as with other areas has not changed down the years and that’s what makes it so special.

The location, style of the hotel, staff, amenities in the room and food and drink were all excellent.
Our feedback for improvement was that the spa we felt lacked a little personality (the tulip artwork could be replaced with a large photograph of the surrounding countryside, or historical building near by perhaps)? The spa outdoor garden area again a little lack lustre and tired/ a few customers had left a few empty bottles on the floor etc.
When we went walking in the beautiful surrounding estate countryside which we found very relaxing and pleasant.. we did come across a fair amount of litter and teenagers drinking by the river which is a shame.
Our tv aerial in our room wasn't very good.

A very small village, from which it's possible to reach the rest of the Cotswolds. Minster Lovell itself probably not worth more than a fleeting visit, but a nice place to stay overnight given it's quiet and not so busy, while arranging day trips elsewhere.

Not sure where to start but avoid booking this hotel if you’re looking for luxury. The room was too warm, fair enough it was a hot day outside but it was excessively too warm in the room with no a/c. Too uncomfortable to the point you could hardly breathe. We also had a dog and he was crying to be let out and constantly panting it was that bad. We were supplied with 4 fans and this still didn’t cool the room and could not sleep at all. We noticed a review left over a year ago stating the same thing that their dog was too uncomfortable with the heat. They obviously do not care about dogs wellbeing if they’re willing to put them at risk of overheating! Why hasn’t this been addressed? To make matters worse the hotel was advertised as being refurbished, our room certainly had not been refurbished. The toilet seat was disgusting with stains all over it. The mini bar was non existent, had 1 bottle of water in it and even that was warm from the mini bar not even working! The bathroom was dirty and one of the towels was dirty. They advertise that the rooms have Dyson hairdryers in, ours did not. While the hairdryer didn’t bother us it’s the fact that they falsely advertised this as one thing and we got something completely different. We would have got a better room if we have stayed in a budget hotel at half the price! It was supposed to be a relaxing night away but was ruined by the experience we had.
Beautiful accommodation. The location was within 30 mins of most towns we wanted to visit. The lodge was very spacious and stylish and I have never felt so relaxed compared to a hotel stay. The bed and pillows were comfortable. All the little touches were very thoughtful including milk and orange juice in the fridge. My friend and I were really impressed. We had ample space to do yoga in the living room after a day of exploring.
Very poor for the price £300.
Room was very small with outlook of weeds and air pipes.
They were booked in the Spa so that was not available.
They could only offer an evening meal at 6pm- not acceptable as we are only able to book in at 3pm
They booked us into their sister hotel for an evening meal without telling us that the menu was very restricted- mainly pie and mash.
Very unhappy as booked this as a treat for my wife
There was a function or wedding on at the venue and it blasted out loud music and dj banter until the early hours. My wife had to move rooms and it spoilt our “relaxing” trip to the point we left at 7.30am neither of us having slept a great deal. Why put us in a room opposite a late night party? The hotel wasn’t busy.
The accommodation was a great departure from the usual chain hotels. Loved the style & setup. Bed comfortable, tea/coffee making facilities, and a selection of breakfast snacks. Secluded & secure grounds, close proximity to car for moving bags/luggage. Really responsive & accommodating host.
Unusual property, near Minster Lovell. Went for a very interesting circular walk along the Windrush valley including The Old Manor near the church.
Enjoyed having our breakfast outside in the private bbq space. Great that we could sleep with the glass door open.
Dinner & Breakfast was great, staff were excellent throughout. The Old Swan Pub was an attractive addition and complimented the hotel and provided a relaxed atmosphere and the pie was beautiful. The location next to the river was fantastic.
The Old Swan is a lovely looking inn/ hotel and staff were very friendly. Easy access to the rest of the Cotswolds.
The breakfast was good and the evening dinners were good albeit limited choice.
it is a beautiful hotel with beautiful grounds. The room was very clean and comfy. the receptionist with the glasses sorry didn’t get her name was exceptionally good at her job.
