We had our wedding meal there
Room and food were amazing.
Sttaff accommodating and friendly
Nice quiet village. We stayed at the camelot caravan park and decided on longtown as its in easy reach for various day trips. The Greyson arms pub is very welcoming and friendly and accept dogs (with free treats for our dog as soon as we arrived) food was delicious here too. The esk chippy and spice fusion was good but the classic pizza shop wasn't that great (chips were undercooked, garlic bread was like cardboard). Overall, longtown has everything you need for a few days stay including a spar and petrol station but we used the area as a base to explore Hadrians wall, west coast of Scotland (Gretna, powfoot) and Carlisle.

It's a quiet little town just off the motorway in a perfect location for a break in your journey. The town has pharmacies and a few small shops, a couple of bars and a hotel. It's a typical border town, money is tight so not too many frills!!

We stay at Longtown because it is a convenient point on our long journey to stop, a very short detour from the M6 / M74. We particularly like the walk along the river, and our dog likes it even more,! Every time we stay we meet friendly local people who are pleased to speak with you.
Longtown's centrality to surrounding areas. We travelled around for this week and it was nice to get back to what was our home for the week. The accommodation was secured by a gate and keys. Very quiet area. It is obvious that the owner invested some time and money to make this accommodation so lovely as it is. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants a place to stay whilst sightseeing.
lovely little hotel for a nights stay over on the way home from Edinburgh. the staff were super friendly and accommodating and the dogs loved it. the room had everything we needed and was great for the price. super easy check out as well, many thanks
Good size rooms comfy beds friendly staff and a great breakfast Perfect pit stop on way back to Scotland Little expensive but that seems to reflect a general rise in hotel prices since life opened back up
Very clean ,comfortable, well equipped apartment .Spacious rooms located next to all the amenities in Longtown .Well informed by hosts how to check in etc .Would definatly recommend 👌
Staff were really cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Food was really good. Chicken breast with haggis was gorgeous. Would book there again.
It is a very small village, but had lots of little shops and a lovely Dog friendly pub and it has No restricted parking in Longtown which is great and it is free. What a Bonus.
Really nice accommodation much better than stay in hotels very quiet location will definitely be using again in fact I am even thinking about getting my own home when retire
Situated on the main Street in Longtown and only about ten minutes drive to Carlisle. Room was large, spacious and very clean. Breakfast was good. Would stay here again.
