Don’t go during half term if you have any choice,it becomes too crowded. British Library is still a haven of peace and quiet. As are the less well known exhibition rooms in the British Museum. Exceptional food and value for money at the lunch menu at Helene Darroze at the Connaught. Best coffee anywhere at HR Higgins Duke Street. Wigmore Hall still has the best Chamber Music Concert anywhere! Avoid the Barbican at night unless you use Taxis. Avoid at all cost Charing Cross road at Halloween.

"Civilized London. Swinging London. Dirty Bloody London!"

"Civilized London. Swinging London. Dirty Bloody London!" Those were the words of James Herbert in his novel Rats in 1974. A brilliant review of the time. How much has London changed? In 2024 London's a scary place, full of opportunity, migrants, despair, and plenty to see. It's a place where you need to be wary. I've been robbed, three times in a single night in London, once in Soho and twice in Elephant & Castle. And I've been to King's Cross and met people just by hanging out. In a land of opporutunity, you never know what to expect. I would recommned the odd visit to London, to understand the changing face of Britain. To see that change, to understand that change where you live, and to understand that "woke culture" is probably more about target audiences than representation. London's where the majority of the people live! London's changed the face of Britain through the ruling elite. And it continues to change Britain whether we like it or not. It's a place you can both love & hate. If you want to see great art exhibitions, museums, or music, sometimes you have no choice but to experience London in all it's glory. It's a place to experience culture, even if the only culture in London is the culture of money.

London is a very interesting city where you have something to see, from various museums, theaters and other attractions. It is worth renting a hop on hop off bus that takes you through the city with sound accompaniment, so you can get to know even more than usual. In short, worth a look.

Perfect location for travelling all around london - Russel Sq. Station has Piccadilly line which connects to Heathrow. Otherwise there's King's Cross and St. Pancras train stations. Walking distance to Holborn, Oxford Street, British Museum. Big rooms with windows, better than the majority of London hotels. Some of the rooms are as big as 25 sq m. That is very rare for London at this price. The bathroom was fully renovated with a modern clean design. The bed was comfortable-ish, on the hard side.

Very comfortable and clean, great staff.Rooms need abit more updating, no saving mirror in the bathroom, no mirror on the office desk to do your hair and make-up so had to either stand up in the bathroom or sit on the floor by the wardrobe. It would have been a good idea to have a hotel channel on the TV to promote all the hotels facilities, restaurant, breakfast, hire cars and what London has to offer.
