This is such a little find! I regularly travel across Ceredigion for work so I feel I’m a bit of an authority on quiet but lovely places to stay! Jane has created a little oasis if you don’t want the sky high prices and busyness staying right on the sea front. Having said that it’s only 10 mins tops to Aberaeron beach, and the annex has a raised patio to sit and watch the sea from. Jane had kindly left the heating on and provided a small bottle of wine and bag of crisps which were soooo needed after my long day! I didn’t want to leave and had intended to go out to a pub for dinner but discovering the local NISA (5/6 mins away?) had a huge selection of fresh and frozen food I bought dinner and popped it in the microwave. There is other cooking facilities I’m just lazy lol! The apartment is spotless, beautifully decorated and so cosy. It had everything you could want for a long stay. Whilst you can also shut the kitchen door and feel you have a large en suite bedroom. Truly a lovely visit and it will be top of my list when I next stay in the area. Diolch yn fawr!

Hive Townhouse, hotel in Llanarth

Set in Aberaeron and with Aberystwyth Golf Club reachable within 28 km, Hive Townhouse offers a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar.

Everything was fantastic. This is my new favourite place to escape to. The staff are so friendly and will go out of their way to accommodate you in whatever you need. The bed was so comfortable and the rooms decorated beautifully with some free extra touches that make you feel special. The corner rooms have great views across the river, the rooms on the side overlook the inland harbour which is currently under repairs along its walls at the moment so no boats or water in it. Massive portions for breakfast, I couldn't finish it which broke my heart as the food is wonderfully tasty. I can't wait to come back. Lots of other lovely restaurants close by. All in all a great place to go for a foodie weekend.

Parc Maerdy Glamping Holidays, hotel in Llanarth

Located in Llangranog, 18 km from Aberaeron, Parc Maerdy glamping holidays provides a garden. A balcony with lake views is offered in every unit. A barbecue and a terrace are featured at the camping.

I like this glamping and have stayed there several times already. Really nice place. It was always 10 out of 10 last times, but this time it was disappointing as there was only very hot water in the shower and it was basically unusable (2 nights without shower) and there was a very strong unpleasant smell in the room. Maybe, very unlucky with the pod.

There are a lot of narrow roads and a great deal of farm traffic. But the area is so scenic that the difficulties encountered in the lanes are worth the minor inconvenience of stop/start or occasional reversing to let traffic past.

Llanarth village is located in a great spot, with easy access to all the coastal villages such as New Quay and Llangranog, and the coastal footpath. The village is served by the local bus service, which is recommended if using the coastal footpath so that you might leave your car at one point and take a bus to the starting point of your walk. The coastal scenery is stunning, and boat trips depart from New Quay throughout the day for dolphin and seal-watching.

The room was spotless, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Room 17 overlooks the garden and was bright airy and cool in this extremely hot weather. A fan was also provided for extra comfort but we did not need to use it. The bathroom (electric shower over bath) is spacious and bright and well stocked with shower gels etc. Bed linen, pillows and towels excellent quality. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious, excellent breakfast included in room rate. Afternoon snacks, lunch and dinner menus have great variety and are well presented. Food prices to suit every budget. The garden is beautiful - ideal for couples and families, with a play area for children. Bowls of water provided for dogs too. My only regret was that we had booked a 2 night stay - I wish we could have stayed longer. Lots to see and do in the surrounding areas - we would definitely book here again for a longer stay.
