Susan & Ted really looked after us, including buying the particular muesli I like. Very comfortable bed. Everything spotlessly clean. Small but functional, quiet room. 10 minutes level walk from the railway station. Wetherspoons & supermarkets 5 minutes walk away. Mykabs £6.00 to the station.

Private country caravan surrounded by fields, hotel in Liskeard

Featuring garden views, Private country caravan surrounded by fields provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 11 km from Kartworld. A hot tub is available for guests.

Location was fantastic! Only an 8 minute drive to liskeard itself which was super convenient for us during our stay. The hot tub was absolutely luxury when up to temperature. The location was super peaceful, tranquil and quiet. Major bonus was having llama's in the field right next to the caravan, they made our morning waking up to them. This was definitely a highlight for us! The host was very communicative when we needed to ask questions during our stay.

We stayed here a year and a half ago just as the new owners were taking over and the place has been transformed. Lovely clean room with a complementary bottle of wine which was a lovely extra. We had dinner and drinks in the restaurant which was very tasty and really good value for money and it had a lovely atmosphere with a cosy wood burning fire. We opted for a rate with breakfast which again was fantastic with great quality ingredients and my daughter loved the hot chocolate. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back.

Supermarkets within a 10 minute drive of site

Supermarkets within a 10 minute drive of site Have stayed at this site many times and have found egress from the site can be risky. We leave the site by turning left, do a U turn at next junction on right, then join traffic with good site in wing mirror. We eat at several different outlets. Trelawney Garden Centre near Wadebridge recommended as is Trago Mills.

It is a central location which makes it a good base to explore from. We didn't actually visit the town but drove to the Eden Project, Tintagel, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Polperro, St Austell etc. The local roads are narrow and winding, it takes ages to get anywhere, and you have to reverse a lot back to passing places on single track roads! We are vegetarian and found it easy to find really good places to eat. I recommend visiting Olive and Co at Sibleyback lake.

The clothes drying outside was not the best as the sun wasn’t on the wash line much However there was a washer dryer (which I don’t like) should you need to get something dry We visited Newquay, Perranporth and Looe, the latter being our favourite as it was nearest and had crab fishing as well as the beach

The hotel is 5 miles from Liskeard, which we did not visit other than to drive through! There is at least one petrol station which we did use. However there are plenty of places of interest within a short drive. We ate at Wheal Tor and several of the local inns.

The town itself is quite a depressed area and so not particularly touristy, but it is easy travelling distance from some amazing countryside and this makes a good stopover to/from places further west.

Stayed for 5 nights at this wonderful hotel. After some poor reviews for the previous owners, the new owners have worked really hard to re-establish this hotel’s reputation - and it’s paying off. Everything about our stay was fantastic. The location is great with stunning views across miles and miles of countryside, the welcome from the staff is warm and friendly, the room was spotless and the food, at breakfast and dinner, was beautiful. We could not fault a single thing and will definitely be back.

Location was excellent - quiet and felt remote (the tawny owls at night were in superb voice!) but was easy to explore Cornwall. The cottage was great as a holiday base, it had all we needed while we were there. Our 4-year-old also loved that it was ‘upside down’ (kitchen/living room upstairs, bedrooms downstairs). I also appreciated the welcome basket and that there were live plants in the living room! The vase of garden flowers on the kitchen windowsill was also another nice little touch!

Sportsmans Valley Hotel went above and beyond during our stay. We even celebrated my partner’s birthday on their pub and they are very helpful and attended our requests promptly. Compliments to the chef because their food is so amazingly delicious that we even came back after checking out that day because we would like to try more. Shoutout to all the lovely people we met in Sportsmans Valley Hotel! Will definitely come back!

Cottage was quaint, clean and had everything you required. Attention to detail by the hosts brilliant. Literally in the middle of no where - where you can truly relax and enjoy the countryside. Games room available with pool table & table tennis great for entertainment in the evening - distracting the kids away from devices. Loved the Forrest area to walk the dog and enjoy fire pit one evening.
