The location is perfect for walking around Exmoor next to the iconic Tarr steps, The room had all the necessary requirements and even though the windows were a little draughty and the wind was cold the central heating kept the room comfortable. Breakfast was good and the restaurant food is delicious, All the staff were so accommodating and helpful. Lovely place to stay.

Really comfy rooms, lovely bathrooms (great to have a bath) dinner was lovely and breakfast as well. Team could not do enough for us or get enough for us. Portions were really good and food delicious.

Beautiful location in a river valley, accessible by narrow lane, but really tranquil, no passing traffic
Lovely old inn with lots of character, but comfortable and spacious. Good for walkers and dog owners. We walked along the river to Withypool, 8 miles there and back. We ate at the hotel, breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea. There was also plenty of refreshments in the rooms and excellent WiFi connection. Hilary and her staff were very friendly and helpful.

Liscombe is quite a small remote place inside Exmoor National Park so a car is required to get about - lovely villages nearby. Loads of places to walk with the dog but at this time of year (Feb) you need to wrap up warm.
