Levisham is a charming, very small, picturesque village with perhaps 20 or so private homes astride the road that continues on into the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. It terminates at Levisham Railway Station (a mile or so down the road) which provides access to the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway. The village is a perfect spot for walkers wishing to explore the trails that crisscross the moors national park and lead further afield. The village has an excellent Pub which, in our experience, does very good food. Access from here to the East Coast resorts and many other attractions in North Yorkshire is excellent; perfect for entertaining days out.

Small, but very pretty with houses/ farms either side of wide green.
Good village pub at top of village green, no other facilities.
Road from main rd is winding through another village, then steep narrow drop into deep gulley and steep narrow climb up through Z bend.
