Mortimer Trail B and B, hotel in Leominster

Mortimer Trail B and B lies on the route of this 30-mile walking trail through Shropshire and Herefordshire.

We were very happy and surprised to find what was included - a nice warm lounge area, large double room and significant bathroom (large and spacious). Our host was very kind and helpful and made us feel at ease. The breakfast arrived at exactly the time we had requested and was plentiful and delicious (however some points to note below). Lovely coffee and fresh orange juice. We would certainly return and recommend!

Quiet market town, good range of shops, some busy pubs, not many really nice eating places from what we could see, apart from Yoko's Thai which was amazing, would definitely recommend eating there. Also, 35 West do amazing coffee, very friendly staff. We would love to visit again and get to know the community.

Parts of the town are run down, but there are nice areas around the church and park. There are nice shops including a bakery and coffee shop and a small cafe by the car park. It's a historic town but suffers in comparison to say Ludlow or Tewkesbury.

A very attractive and historic town with many small, independently owned shops and lovely surrounding countryside. We had an excellent dinner at the White Lion and an equally good breakfast at The Flying Dutchman. Several car parks serve the central district.

Perfect defines. Could not ask for more. We did not leave the hotel because it was just so good there, but the journey in and out was surrounded by true beauty, stunning views and an old town feel that is rare to get these days.

We had never been here before and were dazzled by the beautiful place we stayed in, our warm and delightful hosts (Anna and Karen), and the surrounding environs. The place itself is idyllic and matched the surrounding areas. There is a black and white Tudor house trail nearby, where every village looks like a picture postcard. Hay on Wye and a number of gorgeous little towns and villages are within touching distance and made us feel like we were escaping the life into a wonder world. Can't say enough how we loved this place. Thank you for our stay.

Leominster is a lovely town- small enough to be able to walk around with a number of individual shops. And off course lots of antique emporiums to satisfy the curiosity. And with access to delightful countryside.

My partner and I had a lovely stay in Archers Cottage. Everything you needed for a self catering stay was provided and it felt like a little home from home. Everything was clean and the bed was so comfy I didn't want to get up each morning lol! Both David and Moira were very welcoming and I can see why they get lovely reviews :) The property feels miles away from anywhere but within 10 mins you are in Leominster with shops and places to eat which was nice.

One member of staff was very helpful when I had problems finding where the car parking place for the hotel was situated. As it was 'room only' another staff member was able to point me in the direction of a place a few yards down the road where I could get a good breakfast at a reasonable price and I enjoyed what I had on both mornings.

It was adequate albeit rather pricey. I appreciated the proprietor going to the trouble of assisting me to locate the property and keeping the checkin time open until I arrived. I had intended to stay in Leominster in order to visit my youngest daughter but this was only six miles away so it was a good alternative.
