Clean, quiet and relaxing. An incredibly comfortable bed, Southend doesn't have the greatest sea view in the world but our room with the sea view was still lovely,
Leigh-on-Sea is a very pleasant place to visit. Nice views, buildings and lots of nice restaurants. We would not stay in the same place which looks like a building site. The steps into the kitchen come living room are dangerous. Far to steep and narrow.

This is a lovely coastal town not far from Southend airport and with excellent train links to London.
Of significant interest for the history buffs, this area played its part in the war effort.
Whilst it’s more commercialised these days, Leigh still retains its character and Old Leigh is charming and quaint.
You are spoiled for choice for things to do - there is something to please everyone!
