Very pleasantly surprised by our family room. Nice size, split over 2 floors, beds were comfortable, lovely shower, and it had French doors out to a small decked area. Fantastic! The quality of the breakfast was superb, and plenty of choice too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We hadn't checked in as expected on our day of arrival, and we received a telephone call to check if we would need any food as it was late evening. Exceptional service, thank you. We visit family in Yeovil regularly, and will definitely stay here again in future.

The dedication of the staff.
You could clearly see the staff who were there ( we only saw one at night and one in the morning, both lovely ) were having to multi task their roles. Especially the breakfast lassie who we were informed the night before was having to go and do housekeeping as soon as breakfast was over . 👏 now I’m in the industry and have been for 43 years, I can truly appreciate how hard a job it all is. I make sure I never read negative reviews as I will judge for myself . We had a great sleep in a comfortable bed, we had plenty of tea / coffee stock including biscuits ( thank you very much , nice touch indeedy) . We could turn down our heating on the radiator. The one in the bathroom was a main one and couldn’t turn down however you could just shut the bathroom door. We had a big window that opened so again you could if you got too hot open it. There wasn’t a bad smell in the room and we had plenty of storage.
Location: perfect and we had absolutely no noise disturbances. The pub itself was just so quaint and had all you need in a local pub including a pool table ✅ bonus . Lots of car parking…
Breakfast: this was a continental breakfast and lots of choice. Gluten free bread and gluten free cereal were also an option. The tables were cleared as soon as people left and you definitely knew there was a member of staff around .
Thank you all so very much. Well done

We found the land lady and staff incredibly friendly and helpful in respect of advice on the local area and our stay. The room was a really good size and comfortable for the price. The food we had was also exceptional having stayed for both dinner and breakfast.

The whole experience was fantastic, we don't often go away, so we really enjoyed ourselves.
Normally we are on a budget, but we spent alot as it was our anniversary. However you can spend less if you are sensible.
Wifi was patchy in certain areas as was the tv signal, but it didn't spoil our stay as it wasn't important to us. And there was a mix up with booking the room we requested, so if you prefer call to confirm your request ahead of your stay. But again the room we were given was lovely anyway.
