We so enjoyed our stay, that we asked the lovely girl at reception, if we could stay for another night. Unfortunately there was a pool competition, which meant that the whole hotel was already booked! We seriously would have stayed for another two nights if it had been available. When we both ordered steaks one night, mine, rare/ blue, and my partner's, rare, I truly was not hopeful, most chefs do not cook steaks that much to order, unless you are in a five star hotel. However, we were absolutely delighted, we asked to speak with the chef! He was charming, what a wonderful stay, we so wish that we could have booked another two nights! Sorry to repeat my words, but an amazing place! Kind Regards Christina

Kinghorn has a few shops that are fine for basics.

Kinghorn has a few shops that are fine for basics. Also a beach that looks to be lovely in summer. Easy to get a train to Edinburgh, bus to Kirkcaldy or Burntisland, which also has a beach, indoor swimming pool, play facilities on The Links, and a summer fair

We were only there for one night on our trip north. But it looked like a great base for excursions to St. Andrews or the surrounding area. We had a walk to the harbour, which was nice and nipped into Burntisland. Kinghorn itself does not offer too much attraction, but if you travel by car it is a nice base for trips.

It is a very quiet place in October.

It is a very quiet place in October. It was windy chilly and cloudy. But the sun showed up almost everyday. There is both bus and train for one to explore the area. I did not face any problem to book a taxi by an app. There is a sea beach and many other sea beaches to explore. One can just come here for a rest or just can go on walking along the fife trail

We walked to Kinghorn from the hotel, it took about 10 mins. The town itself was pleasant and had great views out to sea. The beach between Kinghorn & Burnisland looked great although we didn't use it.

Hotel was nice but bar stopped serving alcohol at 6.30pm.

Hotel was nice but bar stopped serving alcohol at 6.30pm. Had to go to function enertainment suite for another drink but did not plan to go there. Did not know dinner had to be booked so this ruined our one night stay as towns a good walk away and weather was too bad to walk. Shop very poor
