Staff very welcoming. Very quick check in and shown to our rooms. The rooms were beautifully presented. Very stylish, with plenty of natural light. Everything we needed for a relaxing evening before our son's wedding. We had also booked a table for dinner and the food was excellent. We went to bed early, with the window open and it was very quiet - we woke to birdsong in the morning. Breakfast was great value for money and a great start to our day. Plenty of room for hanging our outfits and getting ready in the morning.

The Old Thatch - Hennock, hotel in Humber

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, The Old Thatch - Hennock is a homestay set in a historic building in Newton Abbot, 13 km from Newton Abbot Racecourse.

We loved our stay. We had a very warm welcome from Victoria complete with a glass of prosecco and chatting by a cosy fire. The house is amazing, it's much more like staying with classy friends than a B and B. Very comfortable and lots of thoughtful little touches. Delicious (I'm guessing) Italian dinner available with pre-booking (we couldn't arrive in time to try it). Breakfast was outstanding. Cute dogs and kitten to pet. Great location and good tips for local visits.
