Staff were lovely, really friendly & always cheerful. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Eat there in the evening & the £14 deal was good value for money.

The staff at the hotel were wonderful - very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We were a group of friends and all of our single rooms were very comfortable. Freshly cooked breakfast each morning was excellent and dinner on our first night was also very good. The hotel is very central - lots to see and do within walking distance, and cabs readily available for those who couldn't face the uphill return.
I recommend reading the book "The Prince Rupert Hotel" telling their experience of housing the homeless during the first Covid lockdown
