Canterbury Cathedral Lodge, hotel in Herne

In the private and peaceful grounds of Canterbury Cathedral, this stylish lodge offers free Wi-Fi, hearty breakfasts and scenic views. Canterbury’s historic centre is a 2-minute walk away.

Location was unsurpassable. Grounds beautiful. Breakfast was good. View to Cathedral very special. For the price I would have liked a little more homliness - it was a little spartan. The location makes up for where it lacks

Herne is very friendly and holds the Kentish village appeal,...

Herne is very friendly and holds the Kentish village appeal, one pub & a church depending where you prefer to sample all the spirits There are glorious walk ways surrounding the village & outer fields, sky at night throws out the wonder of the universe, so star gazing is available. Herne Bay is only a couple of miles away if sun sea & salted caramel ice cream is your choice, easily accessible by bus from outside the church bus routes to Canterbury are also accessible.
