Breakfast was great and the kids loved it which is more than half the battle.
The location was ideal for walking into York and ideally located for places like the national rail museum.

A boutique Art Nouveau hotel in historic York. Minutes from the heart of the city, overlooking the Knavesmire Strays, lies the Elmbank Hotel, a unique 19th-century mansion with a rich history.

Elmbank is a beautiful period hotel with a great lobby for taking photos in. The rooms are all excellently furnished allowing you to have a comfortable stay. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom looked stunning! The TV in the rooms are large as well. Make sure to bring a laptop to connect to the TV as they don't have apps installed. The hotel has a good restaurant where you can start your day with a solid English Breakfast. The staff are helpful and willing to accomodate you however they can.
A boutique hotel in the heart of York just a 10-minute walk from York Minster.

Room, location and food were amazing! But the best thing was how friendly and helpful staff was. Rebecca and Laurine helped me out with my computer charger problem 😊. Everyone working in this hotel is just amazing!!

We love Haxby, a very pretty village with everything you could possibly need. Six miles from York, designer outlets 8 miles away for those who like to shop and huge supermarkets a couple of miles down the road in Clifton Moors and Monkton Cross and the most beautiful countryside and attractions to visit all within easy reach. Plenty of castles, gardens, theme parks, country houses and the North Yorkshire moors to explore. Something for the whole family, including the children and plenty of exercise for the dogs.
