Great little old style pub for food, drinks and a sleep. We stayed here as a stopover and glad we did. Would stay again.
Nice little village. Just enough places to choose from to eat and drink. Great spot to set base for your walks. Clean toilet facilities and local shop for most food supplies. Plenty of places to walk from and public footpaths.

Nice village. Lovely walks around it so it’s a good base.
Nice village. Lovely walks around it so it’s a good base. Chip shop. Maazi for curry - nice. The plough inn or Little Johns for drinks. The plough inn for good food. Not much in the way of shops. Nisa local or a One Stop, if you want food for walking.
We did the Hathersage, Stoke ford, Eyam Moor, Grindlow, Hucklow edge walk via Leadmill (from the plough inn front door)

Hathersage is a great location for loads of fabulous walks and attractions in the local area. Ofcourse Hathersage itself has the outdoor, heated lido and there are many quaint country pubs scattered locally serving delicious food.

We only stayed for one day and night.
We only stayed for one day and night. The highlight for us was dining with family and friends at The Scotsman's Pack. Relaxing in the quirky dining room at The Millstone Inn before staying the night was a great experience. Hathersage is a lovely place to wander around and a perfect base for walking adventures (not that we did that on this occasion).

It is a pleasant, sleepy little town.
It is a pleasant, sleepy little town. Not much to do or see here, but some nice walks and easy to access from Sheffield. I came here for a climbing trip (recommend) and walked around the countryside, which was nice.
Absolutely spotless. Loved the little touches such as the tea/coffee in jars and plenty of nice biscuits. The fridge in the kitchen has bottles of water and juice that we could help ourselves to. Lynne is a wonderful host, so kind and helpful.
Walking distance to the centre of Hathersage, perfect location.
The continental breakfast was delicious and plentiful. My son loved the table football!
The bed was so comfy and loved the shower.
Would highly recommend a stay here.
Thank you!
Morton Loft is a clean, well-equipped and comfortable apartment located in the middle of a village which has plenty of facilities within walking distance. The owner kept in contact and followed up after our stay.
Although positioned above the butcher's shop and on the junction of two roads it is quiet at night. Hathersage is a great base for exploring the Peak District with excellent walks from the village and has a train service to Sheffield and Manchester. Recommended.
I stayed at The George with a friend during a hiking weekend in the Peak District. This historic hotel has a charming ambience and the rooms are nicely decorated, spacious and clean. Great grub (better than most usual pub fare) is served at the restaurant with breakfast included for a very reasonable rate. Great location, easy to find and the staff were all very welcoming. Definitely recommend for fellow hikers and travellers in general!
Spacious bedroom and bathroom. Lovely views from the property. Quiet at night. Really comfortable beds and feather pillows. Easy walking distance from Hathersage Station. Helpful staff happy to provide extra mugs, biscuits etc for room. Really good breakfast with delicious home made granola. Nice cosy bar and super beer garden. Good food in restaurant. Plenty of space for parking.
Fantastic location with east access to Hathersage and the Peaks beyond. If you’re looking to do Stanage Edge the walk starts 10 minutes from here.
Everything was clean and comfortable for our stay. The bedroom and en-suite are modern with great views outside.
Breakfast was fantastic and a great start to the day and they attended to all our needs and were delightful to talk to.
Good location for starting to walk, the outdoor pool and all the village amenities. Car parking. Large clean room. Comfy bed. No frills but hearty breakfast. Staff really helpful and attentive. Chris in particular deserves a mention - smiley and super helpful from breakfast service to extra towels right through to our nightcap!! represents good value for money in Hathersage.
Excellent service the facilities were brilliant honestly one of the best hotels I've stayed in
Room really clean and comfortable
Nice selection of toiletries and tea making facilities
Huge modern bathroom with instant hot water
Big TV
Friendly efficient staff
Great communication
Hotel management was extremely helpful and very hands on. Food was excellent and well priced. Sited on the edge of Dales with wonderful walks from the hotel. Popular at weekends but there was sufficient staff to cope. Dogs and muddy boots friendly.
Almost everything. Great staff, very nice menu, delicious breakfast, good size rooms, large screen cable tv, charming village with good alternate dining options. Ritz in the country, but a little too loud with the music.
The service from the staff was excellent and very efficient, the hotel was clean and comfortable and the meals were excellent also , drinks in the bar were not too expensive so all in all would recommend to others 😀
Breakfast was excellent, well cooked and well seasoned. The location was ideal to get to the walks we wanted to try and wasn't far away from Hathersage village. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Lovely location and host a short walk from Hathersage. We enjoyed Jo's over night oats for breakfast and benefitted from her local advice for restaurants and going above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
The room was amazing. Aaron had put up 50th birthday decorations that were sent to the hotel in advance and I was made to feel very special. Comfy bed, great shower and food was delicious.
