Everything. Kes and her staff went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. The units were spacious and comfortable. The atmosphere was warm and happy. We stayed at 7 venues during the month we spent in the UK. The Horse and Groom was by far the best. Indeed, we were so comfy that we just stayed on in the Cotswolds for the remainder of our vacation instead of travelling on to Ireland and Wales as planned. We will be back. .
Nestled within 12 acres of picturesque Wiltshire countryside, this hotel is a stylish venue where you can relax and revive.

The breakfast was very good.. The atmosphere was nice in the pub and they had some interesting old chairs that looked like stocks.

Although there seemed to be ongoing refurb works (the main reception area is closed and shut off with a temporary set up through a side door) we hope the hotel will be firing on all cylinders a little further down the line as it has great potential. We liked the new restaurant design and attention to detail. The staff were helpful in sorting out a small problem with our room in a relatively short time. The spa facilities available, gym, swimming pool etc all very quiet but we weren’t there to use them, perhaps next time. The chef was excellent in coping with a vegan/gluten free guest and paid close attention to getting this right, which was much appreciated. The food we were served for dinner in the restaurant was of decent quality and presentation. My companions rated the meat Lasagne 7.5 and Beef curry 8/10, my vegetable kurma dish was a 9/10. Breakfast items limited for vegans, thankfully I like beans on dry toast. No fruit, yogurt (dairy or plant based) on offer. Limited toast toppings, only high sugar items and bitter (no non-dairy options).

Charming and a lot of thought had gone into the decor and facilities
A great little getaway in the Cotswolds. A short walk to a fantastic Pub (The Volunteer Inn) and a well stocked little shop. The Annex was superb and had everything we needed. Our hosts, Annie and Mike, were amazing. Will definitely be back.
