I loved the quiet understated luxury and elegant furnishings. My room was airy with lots of windows. The bed is like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom shower fabulous and boutique toiletries exquisite. Nespresso machine and shortbreads, and mix of teas all perfect. TV is high quality. I love the location close to the cathedral and the shops and restaurants close by in st Martin's Square and Loseby Lane. Marie on reception is a lovely helpful welcoming face at st Martin's and I really appreciated her help with any request. This was my second visit and it won't be my last.

Really nice, vibrant and quirky hotel, which has a lovely vibe & ambiance throughout. The staff that I encountered during the entire visit were friendly, welcoming and provided a genuine & happy service. I absolutely loved my room, it was of a good size and the layout was perfect. The retro decor was fantastic but more so the room has everything you’d need for a comfortable stay and I mean EVERYTHING! I will definitely be back and probably won’t stay anywhere else when I’m in leicester! Keep up the great work, you guys put a lot of the other well known hotel chains / brands to shame!

Lovely little village just outside Leicester. To be honest you wouldn't even know you were near Leicester as the village is beautiful. Three pubs and a church in the town. Along with small shops and cafe. A really peacefull place to stay.

We were there for a funeral. We stayed at the Pug and Greyhound and could walk to the crematorium, and both my friends' houses.
The Cafe we used for breakfast - Lou Lou's was excellent.
Walks in the local countryside are easily accessed.
The food in the pub restaurant was good and the staff friendly.

We asked to stay another night but hotel fully booked.
We asked to stay another night but hotel fully booked. But kind Amy found a nearby B&B for a similar price and booked it for us. Fantastic.
It was easy to get around Great Glen with the Co-op 5 minutes walk away. Great Glen is bigger than expected with useful facilities in it, eg. a Coop, a couple of coffee shops, surgery and number of pubs and dining establishments.

The location of the accomodation in the village was great,...
The location of the accomodation in the village was great, walkable to the other pub/restaurant. Due to unforseen circumstances the pub itself, The Pug and Greyhound was closed and we were warned about this prior to our stay., with the option to cancel if we wished. We eat at The Yews in the village which was good value for money with excellent staff. The garden area of the pub was great for outdoor dining, pity they had to close.
Hostess Amy was very helpful and personable.
Beautiful building with lots of charm and original fixtures. Away from the hustle and bustle of loads of people, as it’s in the village of Great Glen. I stayed in a room outside, in an old outbuilding. The room was very stylish, with vintage features. Spotlessly clean. A large screTV, which you hardly ever get, so I was chuffed. And it even had a small fridge, which was a smeg! I didn’t get to try out the restaurant as my mum turned up at the last minute, wanting some catch up time with me.
Room was clean, a little small but enough room for what we needed. Bathroom was good and shower was excellent. Bed was fine with lovely sheets. We ate breakfast in the pub the morning after we stayed and it was very nice, with some decent veggie options. We were in the area for a wedding so just needed a one-night bolthole really, but the village was very pretty even with the limited amount we saw of it. It was nice to stay somewhere with a bit of character instead of just a chain hotel.
We felt right at home staying here for a few nights with our dog. The staff couldn't have made us feel more welcome. The room was a good size, comfortable and well dog-proofed! We went on one of the recommended circular walks, which was great. Great Glen is a lovely village and the pub is in a good location to reach local amenities. The pub had a really nice friendly and warm atmosphere and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back!
We were very happy with both the location of the hotel and our room. The continental breakfast included in the price was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful.
