The Raven Hotel, hotel in Great Easton

The Raven Hotel offers home-cooked food, free Wi-Fi, free parking and comfortable rooms at great-value rates. The hotel offers a range of accommodation to suit the needs and budget of any traveller.

Rooms were clean and had everything you needed, for one night a shared bathroom wasn’t too bad but a long walk when you’re at the end of the corridor.

White Horse Inn & Restaurant, hotel in Great Easton

This quintessential English village inn is set on the edge of the beautiful Welland Valley, just 4 miles east of Market Harborough and 4 miles west of Corby Originally built as a coaching inn in 1706...

This was a lovely place to stay. The rooms were modern and very clean with a great bathroom. The breakfast was very good, and the pub for other meals had a lovely atmosphere. The menu was very good, and the Sunday roast was very, very good! Well worth a visit for a meal, and I will definitely stay here again.

Nevill Arms Inn, hotel in Great Easton

Built in 1863, this Grade II listed building features a stylish restaurant and en suite accommodation just a few metres from a tributary of the River Welland.

Chose this location solely on the basis of internet search - and it exceeded our expectations. Lovely old coaching inn in a quiet village. We were allocated one of the newly refurbished guest rooms - which surely equalled a 5-Star hotel! Excellent evening meals in relaxed pub setting - although we could have sat in the separate restaurant with its classy decor. Staff all very friendly and helpful - including the nice lady on reception who went to the trouble of typing out her suggested itinerary for our day of exploring some of the area! Would strongly recommend.

The Royal George, hotel in Great Easton

Situated in Cottingham, 21 km from Kelmarsh Hall, The Royal George features accommodation with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

Pub hotel in quiet village. Entry and reception via the pub. The room was a good size, bright and smart with a window over the courtyard; lots of birdsong. Clean, newly furnished with a comfortable double bed. Clean, crisp white linen and good pillows. Two drawer side table and two bedside chest of drawers with lamps. Tele, tea/coffee making facilities. Comfy chair and mirror. Fair sized en suite shower room and toilet. Shower gel. Plenty of good large fluffy white towels. Shower cubicle large. Everything beautifully clean and shiny. Hairdryer. For the less mobile; the room is up some narrow steep stairs. Downstairs is a nice friendly pub with restaurant attached. Very good food and two Grainstore ales. Breakfast was good with juice, cereals, traditional or vegetarian breakfast, toast & tea or coffee. Free parking. Friendly & helpful staff.

Central location with easy access to Barnsdale Gardens and Rutland Water. It is a very small village (Cottingham) with only a community run shop which operates on limited hours. Large towns are within easy reach if you are prepared to drive.

Quite steep streets, not easy to find using a sat nav.

Quite steep streets, not easy to find using a sat nav. Nowhere close by to walk the dog off his lead. Village shop does breakfasts and take away sandwiches. For readers there is a book exchange in the village-in a disused telephone box, remember to take a book to swap.

The area is a great location to stay, there are plenty of walking areas. The people are so friendly and stop and talk to you if you want them to. The location has a lot of hills around so if you struggle walk it might be a bit difficult for you.
