Best Western Manor Hotel, hotel in Gravesend

The Manor Hotel in Gravesend is a hotel with personality. Located close to the Gravesend East junction of the A2, 4 miles east of the M25 motorway.

A little gem! I would give it 11 out of 10 if I could. Fell upon this by sheer luck and ended up staying 4 nights instead of 1, we were so comfortable. Can’t understand some of the negative comments on the reviews. The staff are incredible, hardworking, happy, friendly, anything you want they will try and accommodate you, always someone available day and night, really flexible to special requests and caring regarding special diets. They make it like a home from home and the level of customer service is something that is very rare these days. They found me a room with a microwave when I told them on check in that I travel with my own food due to dietary restrictions. Our room was spacious and had every amenity you could think of, bed was comfortable, big soft thick towels. Everywhere spotlessly clean. Lounge area really homely, warm and cosy. Very good breakfast options, pub type menu available to order until about 9pm with some good quality hot food and gluten free options. Really good bar and service. Free tea and coffee 24 hour self service machine plus hot and cold water dispenser. Very good security both building and car park. Residents only hotel so always plenty of tables in lounge/restaurant and no need to worry about who might be coming into the hotel/restaurant. Most of the hotel including the lounge/restaurant has had a refurb/makeover/redecoration. A big personal thanks to all the staff for being so helpful to me during our stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend. Easy to find and access and plenty of free secure parking. Very fairly priced and good value for money.

Spring River Ebbsfleet by Marston's Inns, hotel in Gravesend

Situated in Gravesend, alongside Ebbsfleet International Train Station, Spring River Ebbsfleet by Marston's Inns features a garden. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk.

Easy to find, close to the highway, just be careful with roundabouts :-). Good, clean room with comfy bed. Tea pot provided. During our stay the place was very quiet. There is a restaurant on site, full of locals in the evening. We didn't use it for breakfast, but went for the Curving at dinner. The food was OK.

Gravesend has deteriorated over the years.

Gravesend has deteriorated over the years. It is not worth visiting. The restaurants are few and far. I can recommend a superb local pub named the Compass: great beer and great company. Gravesend is not worth visiting (unfortunately). The last time I was there wad 1982 and it was a thriving market town but now …

Gravesend is a typical declining British town.

Gravesend is a typical declining British town. The high Street is poor, there are 2 shopping centres that you can go round in literally 5 minutes. If it wasn't for the fact that we have family connections there, we wouldn't bother with the place.

Very nice small town with a beautiful promanade next to the river. Nice view on the river with the green area and benches that you can sit on them and relax. For short visit/weekend it's absloutely fine. For longer can be boring.

I liked the walk to the town the buses on time when you want to catch one. As it was nice day we walked. The town has plenty of life in it. Lots of shops. Asda.Mc Donald's and other shops to brows in.

A great location, the reception lady was good, the lunch option was poor, and the area was cold but the lady on reception brought a heater which was very good. Have evening meal but there was a lady with a dog that continuously barking . We left and went to our room. Tv could be bigger very small.

ROOM 11 (13/7/22) JELENA , the receptionist was awesome, very helpful. the hotel is very clean and tidy ,the bedroom was a good size , comfy bed and spotless. Bathroom was clean and everything worked. I met the cleaner who had done a great job ( South African lady ) well done.. I was chatting to a chap who works there and he gave me a lot of tips about the area . Breakfast was plentiful, hot and tasty . 10/10 to all the staff I encountered. I WILL BE BACK , AS WILL MY COLLEAGUES. Thank you for a great stay .

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Plenty warm enough in winter in your room. Pleasant en-suite with a bathtub and shower over (my preferred option). Good prompt service for bar food and at breakfast. Good parking availability. I good views of the lake from my room, but outside was not an option due to cold temperatures and ice. Good value in winter months. I have stayed at this hotel before, and it is quite acceptable, but could be improved on in some areas.

I stayed in Shamrock Guest House a few times during my work-related trips. It has an excellent location, just 5 minutes walk from the town centre. It’s not luxuriously decorated, but it's very well equipped (fridge, microwave, etc) and super clean! The owner is so friendly and always tries to get me the best available room. I can highly recommend it.

Very friendly, approachable and helpful staff. Comfortable, good-sized room and bed. Room and shower room/toilet facilities all worked and were clean. Ideally positioned for the holiday aims we had. We were walking the Thames Path / English Coastal Path and recommend the Hotel to others doing the same.

Great location overlooking river Thames. Beneficial booking one of the apartments rather than a room (plenty of space with a large living area). 10 minutes walk to town centre. Helpful staff. Private parking opposite the hotel (outside with security camera).
