The 2 ladies that seemed to carry out most of the public tasks were brilliant, always happy and smiling and willing to help when they were required. The evening meals were good and perfectly cooked and after returning to the bar we were able to get drinks and sit and relax until 10ish.
The breakfast was excellent, the 'full english' was huge and set us up for the day. However there was not much of a selection of cereal and no fruit or bread rolls etc as found in some hotels

when we arrived we were met by a lovely lad behind the bar who checked us in and showed us to our room, the room was spotless clean quite a small room for a suite so was glad didn’t go for a standard room..we booked to have a meal in restaurant unfortunately i was feeling very unwell so didn’t eat mine but my wife loved hers..we then went up to bed around 9.30pm but unfortunately could not get to sleep due to the music downstairs in the pub it was very loud and this went on until after 12 so not great..the bed was not the most comfy either and think the mattress either needs upgrading felt quite cheap..felt super tired in the morning due to a restless night then went down for breakfast was a good breakfast but not very hot by any means..the restaurant staff were great very polite and helpful and the bar staff were so lovely engaging in to conversation with us even though they were incredibly busy…the ales and lagers are vast you won’t struggle to choose a drink there is a very wide choice even soft drinks..just wish we could of got a good nights sleep..so if your planning on going on sat night please bare in mind they maybe a dj on until late if you want a relatively early night because you will struggle to get to sleep before 12 at night

Absolutely a gem of a location and a great place to stay.
Brilliant value for money.
Lovely fire in the snug area and spend a few hours relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere.
Josh, the barman is a nice guy, but all of the staff are super friendly and helpful. All staff go above and beyond to make you welcome, and they really care for their guests, making sure you have everything they need.
The lady doing the breakfast service was really attentive and caring.
Food is fantastic with large servings and only suggestion I can offer is to have a few more traditional pub type meals on the menu and a few less upmarket ones but we still had a great meal.
Will definitely be back.

The building is simply beautiful, and the food is off the scale, but the owners are on another level of friendliness, which comes through to their amazing staff. We go at least once a year and have never been disappointed yet.

Simple, no fuss check-in and check- out. All staff, especially room servicing, willing to go the extra mile to make my stay comfortable. Room was clean with an added bonus of a fridge. Location was excellent with some lovely pubs and shops. A smashing little Indian Restaurant serving top notch food. I've stayed before and will stay again given the opportunity.

Wonderful village with excellent amenities and ideal for scenic walks followed by food! great range of cafes, pubs, hotels, fish and chips and a variety of shops. Only slight niggle is the parking is slightly expensive at £3.50 for 2 hrs or £5.50 all day - although card machines were easy to use. There is limited free parking in the village itself but limited to 2 hrs and generally full

Grassington is a lovely Dales village - the town square has not changed for centuries. It is where All Creatures Great and Small is filmed but is much more than just that. I could have wandered around all day even in the gale force winds when we were there. Go and relax in this beautiful spot.
We were looking for a traditional B&B to stay at, on our way north. This place fits the bill perfectly. It is in a charming location in the Yorkshire Dales. Mary is a great host and made sure our stay was very comfortable. She cooked us a delicious full English breakfast in the morning. We didn't have much time there as we were travelling, but we were able to fit in a short walk down to the suspension bridge on the river Wharf and tea at the local tearoom. A very enjoyable interlude.
Absolutely fabulous location. The room was beautiful and clean, lovely decor, well designed with everything you could possibly need. We had the garden room which had its own door leading out into the garden, which had wonderful views of the Yorkshire Dales. The hosts were welcoming on arrival, a warm wonderful breakfast was delivered to our room daily at a time that suited us. Nothing more I can add other than perfect.. Will definitely be visiting again..
This apartment is a little gem. We visited at bank holiday with friends to celebrate a milestone birthday. The apartment is modern, well equipped and is very comfortable. The beds were some of the best we have slept in. The location is great too right in the centre of the village. Our friends enjoyed it so much they immediately made a booking for us to return next year.
Ashfield House is a lovely place. This was our third visit as we were taking friends from Australia to show them Grassington and the area. The location is perfect just off the little market square with many restaurants and pubs a few minutes away. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are very friendly and they serve a wonderful breakfast.
Relaxed Yorkshire ambience. Great location. Friendly staff. Clean room. Plenty of tea and coffee making facilities, and 2 bottles of water.
Also, managed to get a free parking space in the market square. Try that before going to the car parks because it’s much closer to the pub hotel for lugging your luggage there.
location of the property was fab - about a 10 min drive from Grassington (which is well worth the visit) and about half about drive from Malham cove.
The views from the hotel room were unbelievable - mountains & sheep!
Staff were very attentive - fantastic service couldn’t be faulted.
The location was great ,the room was spotless and very comfortable, the breakfast was lovely and staff very friendly and helpful, having never been to Grassington before I think we made a superb choice of accommodation, will certainly be returning to this hotel.
The location was excellent with great parking and very central to the village. We also had tea, coffee and biscuits in the room to use. The place was very clean with easy access to the room with a virtual check-in.
Good location, few minutes from grassington by car ( 20 mins walking)
Nice friendly traditional pub/bar/hotel
Staff very friendly and helpful (cheers phil)
Food excellent and plentiful... never made it to dessert.
We have stayed at the devonshire quite a few times.. always 100% perfect ...and its a brilliant location to stay over if you like to do walks or hiking around the yorkshire dales .
The hotel is on the beautiful village of Grassington, the hotel is lovely with welcoming staff and several good pubs/restaurants within walking distance. Will definitely return.
