Colston Hall Farmhouse B&B, hotel in Framlingham

Around 20 miles from Ipswich and Diss, Colston Hall Farmhouse B&B is just 10 minutes’ drive from Framlingham Castle.

Room very comfortable, clean and warm (much appreciated as the weather very damp at the time). Lovely breakfast and I particularly liked toasters on the table, so you could make your own toast and have it really warm. Tea provided excellent and strong! Owners were particularly welcoming and understanding when I had a late arrival due to traffic

Bluebell Studio, hotel in Framlingham

Bluebell Studio, a property with a garden, is situated in Saxmundham, 19 km from Saint Botolph's Burgh, 32 km from Ipswich Station, as well as 35 km from Eye Castle.

Thank you for the use of your lovely little holiday home. The apartment was nicely decorated, clean, cozy, & spacious. It was situated in a very peaceful, central location (only five minutes’ walk from the beach). It was also very good value for money considering the price of some of the other accommodation in the area. The decor was very stylish and there was also lots of really helpful local information in the binder. The self-check in was also very simple.

The host was incredibly friendly and hospitable. They went out of their way to accommodate us and ensure we had everything we needed. My room (yellow) was incredible. Spotless room with a huge bathroom. The cleanliness was outstanding, and the bed was very comfortable. The property is absolutely beautiful with a wonderful garden, tennis court, and views. Very pretty town, lovely pubs and shops. Great fish and chip shop there. Framlingham Castle is amazing and well worth visiting. We ate at The Crown pub in the square which was a lovely old pub, serving delicious food.

We went to The Crown Hotel which was very nice.

We went to The Crown Hotel which was very nice. Food lovely and not too crowded. We also made a visit to Woodbridge. The quays were interesting but did not like the town. Very difficult to drive round one way system and parking was very difficult. We also went to nearby Aldeburgh. Parking was impossible. The parking app would not download and machine only took cash. So many people ended up walking in the road. Also no where to park. Snape Maltings were brilliant.

    A small market town.

A small market town. I was there briefly on a Saturday so there was a small market with a variety of stalls, a few cafes and a variety of individual shops. I walked up to the castle, passing the church which would have been interesting to look round. I noticed some little lanes as I wandered round the centre which would have been interesting to explore and I believe there is a wildlife reserve close to the castle.

the Castle was delightful, all the english heritage staff were helpful and informative. the town was very pretty and we found the one cafe that served food all day for a late lunch. Its a pity that many cafes stopped serving by 2pm. We would have liked to stay longer but it was only a flying visit.

We had travelled from Wiltshire for a family funeral and needed somewhere close to Framlingham to overnight. Colston Hall was close by. Had slight difficulty in in driving to the lication through a SatNav hiccup but owners were very patient and over 4 phone calls guided us into the right locations. Very friendly reception. Room was excellent and provided the respite we needed. Breakfast was again excellent. Lovely quiet rural setting. Thank you.

Lovely 2 bed flat in the heart of Framlingham and a very convenient location to explore Suffolk. Has everything you need for a short stay in the area, whether self catering or not, including a private parking space. The flat itself was clean and well decorated, with a modern bathroom and kitchen. Hosts were responsive over text/phone in case there were any problems. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely clean characterful flat with new bathroom & kitchen. Excellent central location in Framlingham, within easy reach of the coast. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathroom super with a great large shower. We appreciated the welcome pack of milk, eggs and tea etc being available and good information on the local area.

Spotlessly clean and homely property. Very clear instructions for check in and good parking facilities. No road noise and slept well in very comfortable bed. Short walk into the town and to Framingham castle. We had a lovely meal in the Curry India and a couple of nightcaps in the Station Hotel (nice pub with great atmosphere).

Perfectly equipped and a lovely base for exploring Framlingham and the surrounding area. Small but perfectly formed. Lynda left us some local apple juice and some Prosecco which was a nice touch. She was also very responsive to my queries.
