Copthorne Hotel Newcastle, hotel in Forest Hall

Overlooking the River Tyne, the Copthorne Hotel Newcastle is located less than a mile from Newcastle Train Station. It offers an on-site fitness room.

Fantastic location on the river, within easy walking distance to the city. We were here for an event at Utliita Arena which was a short 10 minute walk away, perfect spot to stay. The room was very nice and well appointed. Parking is very good although I think when you are paying for an upgraded room you shouldn’t have to pay another £10 for it. Rather spoilt the bonus of the complimentary drink each.

Arrived on time for booking in, Had to wait till bar staff serves lots customers before we were provided a key to room. Shown to room door and rep left without opening the door, we entered and found the room had not been cleaned from previous occupants. Beds unmade with sheets and undelay pulled off to the floor. Previous occupant wet towels all over the room floor. No toilet paper, toilet full of previous occupants disports. Bins full rubbish. Flooring dirty and of need a good clean. Fawlty Towers would be rated 5 star compared to this place.
