Comfortable, clean accommodation in newly renovated annexe rooms adjacent to the inn. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the evening, joined by friends, and breakfast in the morning. All food was fresh, well cooked and well presented. Overall one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. Would highly recommend.

Location was good. We didn't walk but there were plenty of buses nearby. Breakfast was a buffet but good choice. Restaurant staff lovely. We found hotels expensive around Oxford so this hotel was good value. Our room was spacious enough and had 2 queen size beds. The bed was clean and comfortable.

Very attractive pub with lovely, quiet, comfortable rooms.
Very attractive pub with lovely, quiet, comfortable rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful - always smiling. Breakfast was excellent. I also ate dinner in the hotel which was obviously popular with locals and had a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
We stayed overnight at the Talbot Inn when going to the Nocturne series at Blenheim Palace. We had lunch and breakfast and both were cooked/presented beautifully. The hosts and staff were very welcoming, and helped us book a local taxi over to Blenheim. The room looked as if it had just been renovated; everything was well designed and laid out, and clean. It is located right by the river, on the outskirts of Eynsham village. We heard a cuckoo calling us on a walk by the river before we left!
This is family run Hotel, Jemma and Stewart along with their children and excellent staff, worked very hard to provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere on arrival and throughout our stay.
The set breakfast was well considered, it included the standard English, Veggie and Vegan choices, together with a bespoke choice on request.
The evening dinners were easily best restaurant standard and Stewart (chef) was happy to chat. Well done all.
This is a family run pub / hotel, all of the family are involved and they make you very welcome and provide excellent service on all counts
The food is superb, rooms are modern, well furnished, and extremely clean.
We arrived by car and explored the local villages by car also , but we used the local bus to get into Oxford. The bus stop is right outside and takes you into the city centre
Breakfast was superb, freshly cooked and the service was excellent . the hotel was situated close to the rd but traffic noise was not an issue, There was a lovely decked area over looking the canal . The room was very well serviced and imacuate .
complementary toiletries , tea, coffee , bottled water and biscuits were most welcome additions .
Excellent customer care, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food delicious and gluten friendly. Chef adapted ingredients to suit. Menu was great. The staff make this place special.
Room was lovely, clean and spacious
Good location, bustop close by for direct route to Oxford and just 10 min walk into village of Eynsham.
The staff are top-notch, very friendly and informative. Many choices of hot breakfast cooked to order, all tasted delicious. We also had dinner twice, both times excellent.
Also, the location is excellent as our base to explore the Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and the Coltword.
The location of the hotel is excellent, river flowing by on one side, hills in the distance, birds singing in the morning, idyllic!
The food was equally good, staff friendly, helpful and very accomodative of customers' needs. All in all, we had a lovely stay at the hotel.
The Location right in the centre of Eynsham Village. It was quiet and peaceful. There was a cozy, if not old-fashioned lounge that guests could use. We didn't use them, but there were convenient bus stops near by to central Oxford and a couple of other local Towns.
In a lovely location by Eynsham lock, lovely walks, hosts and staff were excellent, delicious breakfast and excellent coffee, spotless, will definitely stay again, evening meal was also lovely.
When so many pub/hotels get it wrong The Talbot gets everything right. Lovely spotless, comfortable room, friendly staff, attractive pub, excellent breakfast. Thank you.
