Room comfy, lots of hot water and easy parking.
Room comfy, lots of hot water and easy parking. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful.
Friday night was very noisy from the pub opposite until 12:30am then people in the street. The room was very warm which meant we had to have the window open. Saturday morning at 8am, a refrigeration lorry turned up and rumbled away for 45 minutes while it unloaded opposite our room. I wouldn't stay on a Friday again. Continental breakfast was OK but the water wasn't very hot for tea/coffee.
I had a call from reception before I checked into the hotel asking us if we were still going to the hotel at 8pm, the check in time was 2-10 pm.
The room was average but definitely not £70 a night worth. The room would benefit from a lick of paint and plastering over. I would use the hotel again if needed as it was close to my in-laws but I definitely wouldn’t pay for breakfast.
The room was clean , few marks on walls but sometimes that can't be helped , beds were very comfortable
We were able to order a curry to the hotel as problems with the kitchen , staff made sure we had plates and cutlery and made us feel comfortable and welcome
Staff were really friendly, caring and accommodating, it felt more like home than a hotel. The Gym and Spa facilities were brilliant, we were there over Xmas so had the place to ourselves. The Xmas lunch was delicious and we will definitely be back again
The breakfast was good. The location was remote and interesting (as we expected) but rather bleak when we were there. The hotel is well appointed and very tastefully decorated (both our room and the public areas).
I never got to use the room as it was not as the photograph and am still waiting for a refund which the hotel said was being held up by booking.com but booking.com says it’s down to the hotel to refund me now.
