Great rural location close to long distance cycle route 3. Charming hosts. Very comfortable bedroom. Roomy bathroom with bath. Good breakfast. Accommodating for our bikes. Interesting information about the property and locality. Very clear directions.

With a stunning position on the banks of the River Exe in Bickleigh, and surrounded by beautiful Devonshire countryside, Fisherman’s Cot has free Wi-Fi throughout and free parking on site.
Nice and quiet countryside setting. Great for self-catering apartments, but no local shops. Bit of a drive (to Tiverton) if you wanted to eat out. Watch out for the single lane local roads, often with high hedges either side. Anstey used to have a train station and sign is still there, but it was closed in the 60's with all the other local closures. wild foxgloves are great in the summer.

It's a pretty small village.
It's a pretty small village. Not much to do, but the surrounding area is full of places to walk, attractions and other things to do. It's a short journey to Dulverton, which a very attractive little town and of course, Exmoor is just up the road. Not great for the beaches (too far to drive), but spot on for walkers, who want a quiet base to explore North Devon and Somerset.
