My trip was for work, so not much time for sightseeing.
My trip was for work, so not much time for sightseeing. I noted that the racecourse is just a couple of minutes from where I was staying, and the Lakeside shopping centres a few minutes more in the opposite direction. I would have liked to visit the air museum but didnt have time

Great night life.
Great night life. Amazingly friendly atmosphere, The Ibetha of South Yorkshire.
A nice Market, plenty of shops. Good Taxi Service. Excellent Rail Connection. Love it!!
The Red Lion (Weatherspoons) in the Market Square is excellent !!
room is nice and clean, only some of pillows are little bit dirty, other than that, the Bean Bag Chair is cute, I have never seen any hotel put it in the room.
the restaurant is good, food delicious and good artist performance.
the next day, when we tried to get a driver but no one answered, we walked back to the hotel reception and asked for a help, then the receptionist provided a paper which is about diver information, it's nice.
Nice Hotel reception area. Bit disappointed that we couldn't get a sandwich at 2pm in the afternoon and had to have crisps and chocolate. Great room on 6th floor overlooking the racecourse. I have an electric car and while it is disappointing that a hotel of this size does not provide charging facilities there are some available within 10m minutes walk at Asda.
This hotel was cheap. And the location for me was decent. The room was small but comfy enough and the shower was powerful with complimentary shower gel. Bouncers on the doors...although some people have put negative comments about this....if its a rough area I'd rather see them than not...
It was convenient for my purpose of visiting Doncaster. The price was good to other hotels there. The breakfast was good but there was nobody in that area. You had to go to the bar to get a mug for drinks and your eating utensils. A bit of a guesswork!
I live near this hotel but sometimes it’s nice to get away so I find myself always checking into this place as it’s nice an the staff are awesome.. the rooms are beautiful. All round, it’s a nice stay. I would say the best in Doncaster by far.
The room was spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was so quiet - we had a brilliant sleep. The bathroom was lovely in Castle Howard room and it had all been recently refurbished so it was a lovely room.
beds made up and comfortable with towels.
nice touch with biscuits and milk left. I would say very clean but we found maggots in the lounge / dinning floor area which was rather concerning. otherwise perfectly acceptable
The accessibility and how close the hotel was to the town centre and lakeside, the staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was very spacious, the bed was really comfy.
The car park is good, plenty of bays.
Breakfast is superb! Lots of choice.Dog friendly (charges apply) nr Sprotbrough for river, pub and dog walks. Just off A1 so really easy to get to, avoiding Doncaster town centre.
The Earl is a superb hotel in a great location on the edge of the town centre. it has great parking facilities, a bar, restaurant and conference facilities.
Room was ready on arrival even though we were early. Reception staff very helpful. Dining area for both evening meal and breakfast was very good value.
