The Central Hotel, hotel in Deganwy

This superb family-run hotel offers excellent value for money and has a prime position in Llandudno overlooking the sea, with views of Snowdonia from the rear.

Fab location, overlooking the whole Bay, pier and Prom as well as being handy for Venue Cymru or all the shops. A seagull banging on the window of room 11 in the morning made a cute alarm call. Take the cable car, tram or walk to the summit of the Great Orme or try the dry ski slope or toboggan run.

Very homely feeling, I would recommend the cottage, it was very clean with plenty of room for 6 adults but be aware that the upstairs toilet has a few steps down to it from the bedroom landing, One of the reasons for booking the property was because I had elderly relatives with me and wanted upstairs and downstairs toilets. They managed but it could potentially have been an issue. Having said that I would certainly book to stay there again.

There are some great walks along the coastal paths in both directions from Deganwy to Conwy and the Great Orme. Llandudno is within easy reach for a day out where there are excellent shops. There are several options for eating out and takeaways in Deganwy. Paysanne Bistro is our favourite - booking recommended. We also liked Johnny Dough’s wood fired pizza in both Conwy and Llandudno. The Beach Cafe on the West shore is very good too.

It's a really nice place, not to far away from all great place's in Wales, and there's plenty of them. If you find anything to dislike about your stay, in or around Deganwy, your just a fuss pot.

We rented the apartment because we needed a place to stay while we met with family so we did not visit any attractions although the marina was nearby. Unfortunately you could not really see the marina as advertised which was a disappointment. The flat was big, light and airy and suited us well. It was well equipped and we had a very warm welcome. It was difficult to regulate the heat of the water when showering if someone else was using the other one. The flow either reduced or the temperature kept changing which was very annoying. Maybe there should be a bigger boiler. Also it was difficult to access the keybox (no. 2)especially when dark as could not see the numbers. It was in a very low awkward position so had to kneel on the floor which could be very difficult for some people. Perhaps it should be moved to a higher, more accessible position with a light nearby.

Deganwy is really well located with quick road connections to Llandudno and Conwy but also a great coastal walkway to both towns. Deganwy also has a great beach nearby and a few shops and cafes/restaurants.

Deganwy is lovely a good base for a holiday in the area.

Deganwy is lovely a good base for a holiday in the area. We had to go to Llandudno to find a shop and somewhere for a family to eat. Saying that we will definitely come back as we love Conwy, Llandudno and discovered Anglesey and Deganwy is nice and quiet place to stay.
