Booked a room with our little dog between xmas and new year, Immediately greeted by very friendly manager who spotted our faces fall when told there was "some trouble with the heating in the room you've booked".... "but don't worry" he said "we've upgraded you to the suite"...PERFECT! And what a lovely suite it was, very quaint, copper bath in the bedroom, large modern shower room, and a separate sitting room, delightful. Had a lovely meal in part of the restaurant where dog was allowed to join us and spent rest of evening in the friendly bar, altogether a lovely experience.

Great place ...lots of walks ... a few too many dog walkers which contributed to flies everywhere. But some great places to walk and near to Long Melford, Ickworth,... mass at Clare Priory was also great.

We only stayed for one night - I had brought my 76 year old mum back for a visit as she spent her summer holidays there staying with an aunt when she was a child. It is very quiet with some lovely walks and beautiful villages nearby. Lots of history. We had a lovely meal at the Cock Inn which was great value for money and really friendly staff.

Lovely comfortable pod loved our evening fires and feeding the chickens and ducks. Three lovely lakes to fish in.The camp is well laid out and Carol and Steve were excellent hosts. They serve up lovely food to order. It is a calm safe stroll into Clare to the Swan pub which serves decent food. Lovely footpath hikes to Cavendish for local pubs and food. The five bells is worth a visit. We will definitely be back. 👍

Great location, lovely site, and some beautiful sunsets in this quiet corner of Suffolk. Steve and Carol are happy and helpful hosts, on hand if needed, and Clare is a charming village with just about everything you need. The pods are clean and cosy, and the ducks and geese wandering about made the trip.
