Overall really nice place, floors a bit squeaky - ear plugs for sound sensitive people for better sleep would be recommended (didn’t bother me too much)

All the features of Cotswolds era were there -yellow stone houses and buildings, thatched roofs, central market hall, shops and houses along main street, village square, and the attendant church. It can do with more parking along the streets and more Chinese eating places.

Very busy during the daytime and parking difficult. We visited in the evening when parking was better. We had a wonderful meal at Michael's Mediterranean. Very small intimate place, definitely worth a visit, but book first.

Had a wonderful stay in Chipping Campden!

Had a wonderful stay in Chipping Campden! The charming village is picturesque, with lovely walks and cozy shops. The accommodation we stayed at was comfortable, and the hospitality was warm and welcoming. A perfect countryside getaway! While we only stayed overnight for I would suggest a long weekend to really take in everything.

We stayed in Chipping Campden because the Grooms Lodge was there and it did, indeed, turn out to be a great accommodation. But, after visiting many other villages, we all agreed Chipping Campden was a great place to stay: fewer bus tours than some, plenty of dining choice, very walkable.

The area is picturesque and lovely, ideally located for wedding venues in the area with plenty to do and see but the roads are tight and parking is very limited so make sure if you are staying in a hotel here that they have private on site parking

Lovely, quiet town in the Cotswolds.

Lovely, quiet town in the Cotswolds. We were first time visitors to this area, and limited our stay to one night, which was ample for this location. A couple very nice restaurants, and cute shops. Our accommodation was the lowest price of our 2 weeks in England, and very suitable. We went on a Monday, and parking was ample. The build up for the Cotswolds was bigger/better than the reality in my opinion. But we did only go to one town. Yes, it was lovely, but I'd probably opt for more time in the Lake District where we went after this, if we returned. But we are not shoppers and so forth, so that Cotswold scene is not exciting to us. However, this town might be nice for a stop if one is walking the Cotswold Way or some of the footpaths, which we did not have time for.

This is an excellent location within walking distance of Chipping Campden . We were a family spanning 3 generations and it suited everyone perfectly. The host was welcoming and helpful but then didn’t interfere with our stay . The barn is well equipped and we would highly recommend a stay here.

We booked a dog friendly room for £30. It was brilliant. Ground floor with doors which opened on private patio so no trooping through the hotel overnight. Hotel also provided dog bowl towel and treats. We had to eat meals in bar but lovely food and very friendly staff.
