This is self catering. A superb communal kitchen is available to guests as was excellent coffee, tea & milk in our room. Truly worth a visit a quiet location with easy access to local pub which sells hot meals, and a superb Indian restaurant. Chinese Fish & chips also on offer. This is our second visit and will be booking again. Comfortable bed, bedding and Lots of freebies in the bathroom all of which are of a high quality. Host charming and eager to assist

We booked a couple of nights as a base for visiting Ely, which is a short drive away. The hotel is ideally located on the river and we had a lovely room with a balcony. Comfy bed, nice bathroom with a great shower, and a decent-sized fridge which was perfect to store food for our balcony picnic on the first night when the restaurant was closed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, providing fresh milk, wine glasses and even a pen when we asked!

A quiet but lovely little town with a very friendly atmosphere and sense of community. A bonus of visiting in December is the Christmas lights, which add extra charm. The only negative, when visiting family in the town, is the lack of a railway station - without a car, it takes a cab ride from Ely or Huntingdon (the nearest stations) to get there.

Beautiful place fit right in spent time with partner very sunny and people arent shy to say hi or a wave love to find a place in chatteris .my favourite place was the hotel and the neibourhood in general I ate at the hotel called cross key hotel.very easy to learn your way around chatteris wouldnt avoid anything it's just amazing
A charming building with lots of character. Very quiet considering it’s in the middle of Chatteris. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. A lovely breakfast with lots of choice.
I had a single room which was compact and very clean. The en-suite was a good size and the shower was nice and hot.
(I had a peak at the double rooms and they looked lovely).
Good breakfast, lovely host. Evening dinner was good, staff were excellent - very friendly and good service. The hotel is full of old curiosities and very traditional. Enjoyed taking part in the pub quiz even though we came last! Stayed in a room with a Taster bed. The rooms were very clean if old fashioned but had everything you needed.
I was working odd hours, the hotel managed to place me in an external room, which meant not disturbing guests when coming back in the early hours of the morning. The room was faultless, always kept tidy and clean by housekeeping. Breakfast was fantastic, recommend the full English included in the price. Will happily use this hotel again.
we stayed in room1 for 2 nights and very much liked this hotel. The room ( one of their larger rooms) was clean and comfortable . The staff were friendly
and the breakfast was nice . we were visiting family in Ely and this is the nicest place we have stayed at in this area
Staff were as always, very pleasant and helpful with nothing too much trouble. Food is good, plentiful and very good value, particularly on special steak nights. I like the quirkiness of the hotel as it is very old and has a lot of interesting features.
Some of the breakfast was good. The cafeteria coffee was very weak but it was improved on request. The location was central to us for visits to Ely and St Ives. However Chatteris lacks amenities and The Brambley is by far one of the best places there.
Large, commodious bedroom with good quality 'nibbles' and toiletries. The historic nature of the hotel was a constant delight and the owners deserve much credit for steering this hotel with such success through the darkest waters of the pandemic.
Since I have family who live in Chatteris, the location was great. It is right in the center of the village, so I could explore the shops very easily. I am gluten-free, and they had gluten-free bread for toast in the morning.
The rooms and whole hotel was rather quirky and olde worlde but i loved it. Wonderfully comfy bed... Two bottles of water much needed and appreciated.
The breakfast was lovely!
