Occasional visits to Caerleon for business. Pleasant village/town with a good history and an interesting Roman fortress/baths. Recommend sitting outside of the Hanbury Arms on sunny day with the meandering river and diving birds.

Great Roman ruins - especially the Roman Baths/museum which was interactive, fun and informative. Good pubs and cafes - try the cafe on the green which is friendly and relaxed. An interesting sculpture trail. A lovely alleyway with quirky arts and craft shops, plus a sculpture play area for children, plus a cafe.
