Hot Tub hideaway! New Forest, hotel in Cadnam

Hot Tub hideaway! New Forest provides a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 16 km of The Mayflower Theatre and 17 km of Southampton Guildhall.

The inside of the property and the hot tub were excellent. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Great pub, the White Hart, about a mile away. Nice walk from the property and very easy access by road to rest of New Forest. Garden is completely enclosed so safe for dog (or children if you had them) Suited us well (2 adults and a dog) but it’s small and I wouldn’t want to be there with children or someone sleeping on sofa bed.

Bartley Lodge Hotel, hotel in Cadnam

Bartley Lodge is an elegant Grade II listed building surrounded by 8 acres of grounds. Meals in its AA Rosette-awarded restaurant are created using local produce.

We love staying at Bartley Lodge as it’s a small cosy hotel with great staff and very well located for the New Forest. Dinner quality was great. Breakfast is lovely but could have a bit more variety.

Cadnam is a good base for exploring the New Forest.

Cadnam is a good base for exploring the New Forest. Ideally you need motorised transport or a bicycle to see the Forest in its entirity. We took our dogs. There were local walks in the Forest that were walking distance from our accommodation. The village has a shop and pubs that serve food.

Easy to get to, near M27.

Easy to get to, near M27. Some nice country side near by and easy road access to the rest of the area though always long tail backs into Lyndhurst Via A337. A number of goodpubs/places to eat but not much else. It is on the New forest Hop on hop off tourist bus route. Not ideal for cycle access to the new forest.

We liked the location right in the New Forest.

We liked the location right in the New Forest. We could ride our bikes from the property and be in the wonderful countryside straight away. There were places to visit in the vicinity but we rode our bikes for 2 days running. It is fantastic for cycling and there are lots of places to stop and have a picnic such as by a stream or amongst the trees. Ponies and cows are everywhere just wandering around. We also came across groups of free ranging pigs which was lovely to see.

Good access to the new forest and local attractions, including Poulton park, for those headed there. Useful stop over point for Southampton, around 30 minutes outside cruise terminal, with easy parking.

Superb stay. Accommodation exactly as described. Beds very large & comfy, accommodation very clean and well maintained. The tea, coffee, milk and sugar, plus the fruit basket, were a lovely thought. The grounds are idyllic. We saw, deer, ponies, pigs, ducks, geese, swans and squirrels in/from the Cadnam Lodge Estate grounds. We hope to visit again and stay a bit longer next time (short break this time due to visiting relatives) we would have no hesitation in recommending.

The property was lovely. The whole cottage was very well equipped with everything you need for a weeks holiday! The owners were amazing, during the high winds Sandra was checking in with us making sure we were ok and to see if the power was still on. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cadnam Lodge despite the weather. We both will look forward to coming back again, this time hope the weather is a lot nicer!

Staying in the private grounds of the Cadnam estate was wonderful - the gardens and facilities were great ( especially the tennis court ), and seeing all the wild animals every day ( especially the deer ) was so special. The accommodation is well presented, and the welcoming fruit bowl on arrival was a very nice touch!

The accommodation was modern, clean and peaceful. The owner, Roxi was very nice, welcoming and helpful. It was in a great location for exploring the New Forest and Hampshire coast. The price was very reasonable, especially if the maximum 4 people stayed there.
