The Moorhead Bed & Breakfast, hotel in Burlton

Offering a garden and garden view, The Moorhead Bed & Breakfast is situated in Wem, 42 km from Telford International Centre and 44 km from Trentham Gardens.

The security when entering and leaving the facility, given its location is impressive. Rebecca welcomed us at the entrance to the building with a warm smile, it felt like we’d known each other for ages! She’s pleasant and the services rendered was top-notch. The breakfast was AMAZING. We ate filled to the brim and there was food in excess, it felt like a feast! She made all we asked for and some more. The room with bathroom en-suite was clean and everything in it including the bathroom was as advertised, the mattress was particularly comfortable. There’s an area of the room with couch facing the fields and a centre table for relaxing before going to bed. We came with our 3-month-old daughter and it wasn’t a regrettable experience. We will def be returning to the Moorhead B&B if we’re ever in the area again.

Good for zn overnight stay travelling from Midlands to Wales. Also good for Cheshire. We chose it for a dog friendly stay and the accommodation was most acceptable. Both of us and our dog were made most welcome.

Staff were very welcoming and always very helpful.

Staff were very welcoming and always very helpful. Good choice of food at breakfast, with an adequate, but limited choice for dinner. The room was very good with a large en-suite bathroom. The bath had a cracked plastic side panel and some of the tiling needed re-grouting, but it was all very clean with lots of shelf space.

On being greeted we were shown to our room which was away from the Inn with an outside door. The door was covered with spiders and cob webs, not a good start. On the inside the outside door lock could have been more secure. The bedroom was just about acceptable but I would want to stay in it again, the bathroom was poor to say the least needed a good update as I don't think a good clean would make much difference, poor lighting, old and a far bit of mould around the bath and on the shower hose! The staff were very friendly and the food was ok, really good but I dont' know what the condition of kitchen was like, was it clean?
