Bromborough, where I grew up as a child, is an ideal location for visiting the local towns of Chester and Liverpool, as it is located on both train and bus networks, with frequently running services at very reasonable fares. The historic town of Chester, the Lady Lever Art Gallery at Port Sunlight, and Liverpool City Centre, with it´s many tourist attractions are all within easy reach. Bromborough itself, has a large shopping centre, just outside the village, but within easy walking distance, as well as the original village centre, with a wide range of shops and restaurants.

The accommodation is separated from the pub so there is no noise from people leaving the pub. The room was clean and nicely spaced. The shower was OK but as this was fed from the bath taps it wasn't very powerful but it did the job.

Room heating stayed on all night - unlike some hotels at which I have stayed that turn heating down or off for most of the night hours. The 'included' breakfast menu was extensive and the quality of the various items was superb. The service was friendly and the restaurant was warm and welcoming.

It's a clean and comfy hotel with all the things you'd expect. I booked it because my usual choice of budget hotels were all booked up and the price wasn't too much more. I paid extra to use the spa facilities while I was there, because it wasn't much more.

Comfortable bed, quiet room and very clean. The staff were fantastic, both in the hotel and the adjoining pub. We are in the restaurant attached to the hotel (part of the Hungry Horse chain) and the food was great and really good value.
