Location fabulous. Staff attentive. Food really good. Accommodation very comfortable throughout the hotel, its spacious with various areas to sit ie bar or quiet room. Room was perfect had a fantastic view.
I have visited several times and always enjoy my stay. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. the Izaak has that 'homely feel' about it, so you feel as though you have had a relaxing break away.
I didnt want to leave and will return ............very soon thank you to all the staff you do a wonderful job

There is a beautiful view from the cottage. Nice restaurant/pub, nice food. The spotless cottage I was impressed with the cleaning standard.

Such a great setting for a hotel and location was great for going into Gulliver's Kingdom itself. A few hills that require actual hiking to get up and down them however, worth it when Matlock Bath is down at the bottom (you can also leave in car and return if you can't be bothered with walking). Entertainment was on for the kids in the little clubhouse which was a bonus, the host had heaps of energy and did well keeping everyone engaged.
