The location is surrounded by beautiful forestry and is lovely and peaceful, sliding doors in the room allowed us to open them in the morning/evening and listen with some fresh air. The room was a great size for our family and having a little living room area was perfect in the evening with a baby asleep. Having a swimming pool and restaurant on site made for ease on the first evening, would be lovely to have a few more options but what we ate was nice.
The staff were all friendly and welcoming, greeting us every time they or we went past and very helpful when needed.

The staff were very friendly. The room very comfortable if a little dated in the furnishing. The breakfast was very good but the one evening meal only average.

Perfect place to stay for nature lovers and gardeners .
Perfect place to stay for nature lovers and gardeners . We used it as a stop over before our trip to the I.O.W. allowing us to visit Exbury Gardens and the New Forest. Many more places locally are worth a visit.
There were 3 of us Adults occupying the cottage which was comfortable but may be a little compact if more.
Many places to eat locally, however, we chose to eat in with food we brought with us on the first night and used the local Chinese to deliver the second day.

Excellent facilities. 2 pubs offering very good food, an Italian restaurant with excellent food although slightly expensive, an Indian restaurant and takeaway, a Chinese takeaway and an expensive Michelin style restaurant. Tea rooms, shops. Everything you need for a short stay. However the road is extremely busy and difficult to cross.

This is a little bit of paradise within a few minutes’ drive of the ferry to the Isle of Wight. It is situated in beautiful gardens, shaded by trees and offers privacy and tranquility in bucket loads. The owner has created something unique and somewhere people would want to come back to again and again.
Within walking distance is the sweet little village of Botley which has traditional pubs and pretty buildings.
Whether it’s for an overnight stay or somewhere you select to stay for a week, it’s very well placed. For me it was an ideal stop off between the Isle of Wight and The New Forest but I could have stayed there for a much longer period of time because it’s tranquil and a good spot to come back to after exploring the wider area.

We stayed overnight on a Tuesday and unfortunately the highly rated dog friendly pub The Dolphin is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. So we ventured to the The Bugle Inn, we found it not particularly friendly or attentive, we left as no one was interested in taking an order for food, also there were some locals in the dog friendly bar side of the pub who were swearing quite a lot, one to avoid if you have kids, maybe!
There isn't a lot to do in Autumn in Botley, there seems to be mostly bridal shops, bike shops and dress boutiques only. There is a Co-op.

Botley is a very historic little town and although very near Southampton one feels away from it all. Otters Green is within walking distance of excellent restaurants and cafes. Otters Green itself is a delight. Very thoughtful hostess who tries to make you welcome and as comfortable as possible.

Probably the best B&B I've stayed in, ever. Lovely room, the best of hostesses who made us feel very welcome. Totally charming visit and a good, plentiful breakfast with an excellent choice of goodies.
